ill try to make this brief ..
i am not an Olympic swimmer...however I do swim like a fish... maybe a wahoo maybe a bottle nlse dolphin?...thats uo for dabate!
Igrew up in s fl, was even a lifeguard in my 20's, also taught 2 of my kids ( prvious marriage) to swim by age of 2 years old, my 10 year old was a certified scuba diver...and he was autistic. but i digress....
the pros of this place: if you have to reschedule its no problem, just have to do it within 12 hours and the tokens never expire... all the instructions are sound, have not had one that is lacking ..they are well trained! the methodology is sound...its really all about being comfortable in the water...that needs to be established first! The format, the booklet, colored caps, the lessons with pvc tables underwater, the letters, the floating pads...all well thought out and obviously all PRO! the website, app and staff are helpful and efficient every time ive encountered them.
the cons: yes, it seems like a long road/ process at onnce a week for 20 mins...i wish they would give me 2 times a week for just a few more bucks..but they charge basically double ( slight discount ...i forget the discount for multiple lessons but its not much) in the summer they shift the swimming to outdoors, and then when the thunder storms come... class is cancelled usually... not fun....sort of a nightmare.
unfortunately, my son had some subpar lessons an with an instructor that seemed to amount to drowning him, against my advice my wife went ahead with it...
i was waiting until he was slightly older , but she signed him up for a method when the babies are 6 months .. my child was a year and a half at the time....
google infant swim survival or drown proof..
i can attest... this method is the WORST... and is the reason why i am now with a child who is 4 years old and still can not swim...
unfortunately the damage was done and my child is fearful of putting their face in the water....
PLEASE.. learn...
Read moreWhere do I begin, sure there are multiple swimming schools, and we tried 3 other ones. But NO ACADEMIES come close to SwimRight Academy, my daughter has had Coach Daniela, Carlos, & Melina. Although all 3 are playful at times (maybe less Coach Melina) they all 3 still always make progress with my daughter. I live a bit away, so whenever there is lighting or rain. The pool will usually be closed and we will get a “makeup token” that we can use to reschedule the class, this system is perfect. Lastly, we started off with coach Carlos a year ago, the perfect mix of fun and knowledgeable. my daughter talked a lot during the first 3 months in the classes, and Coach Carlos had made it clear that; he is there to coach my daughter, not to talk about anything but swim (after they finish the class then my daughter asks him 1,000 questions, I applaud his patience!). We are now always either with Coach Daniela or Coach Melina, they have been super delightful and my daughter feels the same, although we miss...
