We have been getting cut by Javi, who trained at Bakersfield Barber College, and I can confidently say his work speaks volumes about the education and discipline they instill there. My partner and I couldn’t have more different hairstyles, yet Javi consistently renders both looks. He doesn’t just maintain what we already have—he’s always leveling up his craft, offering ideas and tweaks that take our styles to the next level.

What I appreciate most is how invested he is in growth. Every cut shows his improving skill, and it’s clear he takes pride in mastering his trade. Bakersfield Barber College deserves recognition for setting him on this path, and Javi deserves credit for his dedication to it. As long as he’s around, he’s our barber.

just wanted to pass along a warm and heartfelt "thanks " to the Bakersfield Barber College (BBC), and specifically a soon-to-be "barbering" phenom named Elias.

Recently homeless, I was given a voucher from the Mission at Kern for a cut by one of the college's students. Elias and the entire staff treated me with dignity and respect, and the cut was perfect. As a guy who, only a year ago, wouldn't have hesitated to spend $60 for a cut and shampoo, I can honestly say the experience at the BBC was equal, and easily exceeded my expectations.
