Honestly it was better when they were a food truck. Their prices were lower and the sushi was better. Today....well it was meh. Like the meat was cooked to perfection, but rice was not up to sushi quality standards, it was far too bland and overcooked. The sushi as a whole was a mixture of sweet, salty and questionable. Sadly I had to drown my sushi in a Sriracha sauce pool just for a better flavor, also like no soy sauce option, but you offer ketchup? Weird. Like when it was a food truck it was good, trendy, something different, but when they became a brick and motor location it lost it's flair, its piazza. And then prices don't match quality. The hot Cheetos roll was a joke as far as flavor goes. It looked nice but that was about it. And then the inside is on the verge of decay, you have one celling tile that doesn't match the rest and there is clear water damage, you have an army of security cameras but most are dangling down from their wires pretty dangerously, some are not even connected, you've got a the housing for some of the wiring fallen down by the register. The parking lot has seen better days. The upside is the staff is friendly and the bottle drinks are cold. Make your own decision if you want...
Read moreI love the food, however; weird customer service, and they need to turn on the AC. It was weird, the waitress were nice, but it seemed as if they wanted us out of there asap, and at times, I believe they were avoiding us. We walked in, sat down, less then a minute they were trying to hurry us up to order. Another minute later, someone else asked if we were ready, I felt like I was in a rush to place an order. We placed the order, and 10 minutes later they brought our food, I asked the girl for another drink, she failed to bring my second drink. We were waiting someone to approach us for our bill, nobody did, until we called them over. Besides that, it's Bakersfield and it was 95 degrees, and to our luck, they did not bother to turn on the AC, it was really hot in there. I doubt I'll go back, weird experience, and super hot inside...
Read moreSushinola may be difficult to find because it is actually a food truck that shares a dining area with a Mexican restaurant on Niles. The ceviche dishes, although they take a while to prepare, are outstanding and are the only healthy choice at this food truck. I was little disappointed how all the sushi rolls sound exactly the same besides one variation in ingredient. However, they are tasty if you like indulgent fried rolls with cream cheese and sauces. I hope that eventually they make some rolls that are like their ceviche with a lighter,...
