This particular Wienerschnitzel has been at the same address on Niles st. for at least 50 years. It started off when the Hillcrest Shopping Center was a busy and major concern. There were no buildings or spaces to be had. Upon a time it was prime real estate for commercial use. In demand. This being true several fast and not so fast food ventures opened up nearby hoping to capitalize on the nearness of some major attractions. This Wienerschnitzel was such a place. I recall my parents getting a bag of hot dogs, chili dogs, and kraut dogs, and I recall them fondly. They were good. I had a chili cheese burger, one hot dog and a medium fry. The fries are very thinly cut and lead toward becoming dry and crispy the cooler they get. They were good for a while, then not so much. The burger was okay but lacking something I couldn't put my finger on. The kraut dog was good. I don't risk any soft serve ice cream products there. They have failed several times in that department. The service was timely enough but I was charged for 3 combos instead of the two I ordered. The extra combo was actually in the bag. I just had no use for it. Sad as it is I can't recommend this Wienerschnitzel. I want every old time East Bakersfield establishment to shine and do us proud out of nostalgia and competitive pride. This place is a running disappointment....
Read moreI’ve never had so many and experiences with one place I’ve gone to this place and they always mess up my orders, whenever I go I’ve asked for mini corn dogs with chillin cheese sauce on them and every single time they always forget to put the sauce on the corn dogs this has happened to me 3 times already, I went today and asked for a 12 piece of mini corn dogs and to put chillin cheese on them, when I looked in my bag they gave me jalapeno poppers with chillie cheese, idk how you can even confuse the 2, they don’t even sound the same. Whoever the workers are most definitely need to be fired or get there...
Read moreDecided to stop by for a crowd pleaser. But definitely wasn't pleased with the sour attitude from the employees and management. They forgot not only my child cheese burger but also my junkyard dog, which those of you who know, know they're not cheap items to get nor forget. Instead of replacing my food the staff wanted to argue on their behalf. I wasn't wrong with them forgetting my food. I even had it at the counter as proof. I ended up getting a refund. Not coming back to this establishment again. I'll take my money elsewhere since the staff said himself "we don't need your money." Be wise where...
