Mandarin Express — Restaurant in Bakersfield

I came on 02/06/23 when I ordered my food the girl swore I asked for mushroom chicken. I’m allergic to mushrooms so I told her no I did not and she kept saying I did. I explained to her I cannot eat mushrooms so no I wouldn’t ask for that. So instead of making a whole new plate she just scoops up what was on my tray and puts it back and I didn’t find out until I got home that she just covered up what was left in the plate of the chicken mushroom with my actual side of choice. Not only that I was given a fake 20$ bill back. My change was 63.12 out of 100$ they gave me 3 20s I immediately placed in my wallet. When I went to use one of the 20$ I was told it was fake and so of course I called the restaurant requesting they give me my change since they basically jipped me for 20$ and they told me no. That they weren’t going to exchange it because I should’ve checked when they handed it to me. It’s a restaurant they’re the ones who are supposed to be making sure the money they are getting is real for this exact purpose. Horrible customer service and extremely rude. I use to come here since I was 7 but then they changed owners I stopped because the food was bad so I stopped coming that was around when I was probably 20 so yesterday I decided to come back after along long time to see how it was now it was worse with that been said I’m sticking to my regular place. So have been coming to this place for about 12 year since my sophmore year in high school a friend of mine recommended the restaurant to me. I love the food ,and it stood like that up until January of this year. Now the food is greasy they took out the ribs in black bean sauce for some dry looking fried fish. So the shrimp came out uncooked the fried rice tatseless the orange chicken tasted like unskinned fried chicken just dipped in orange juice it had no batter just nasty . theyve got new owners but i dont think thats the issue , i think its the new cook.
