LIKE DEALING WITH TRUMP! Worst experience EVER!

We ordered on the El Pollo Loco app. The deal was for 20% off orders UP TO $100.

When we got there they did not have our order. What transpired:

1. They said they didn't get our order
2. "We got your order but YOU already picked up your order at 5:39" (we did not)
3. We had our receipt but it didnt matter because they don't ask for verification we were told
4. They could not give us the 20% discount because they couldn't scan the code as the app directed us to do. Instead, they said it was for in store purchase only- the app clearly said: for "online orders"
5. as the young lady was reading the app, she told us that the deal was for orders over $100. We had to read the words to her and explain the difference between over $100 and up to $100.
6. They shorted us chips that we paid for.

After they found the order, there were no apologies.

The manager and /he staff treated us like criminals.

When you order online there is a paper trail. Nobody's trying to pull one over on you. In this COVID World, we support our local businesses . It's a shame our neighbors are so quick to treat their loyal...

I used a coupon for 25.99 and as he was ignoring that during the initial transaction I asked him did you apply the coupon he said yes but he didn't. So then he felt the need to do a refund and he shortchanged me and told his boss I was trying to scam them out of a couple bucks. He gas lighted him about the math right in front of me, it was sad. He said something like "see I'm right" when he was never right once. They told me my change of a $50 bill minus my true total of $31.38 was $15.50 and they said this like some bullies... I went out, sat down my delicious El Pollo Loco family meal that was still surprisingly warm, pulled out my calculator with the math on the screen and took one more second of the chicken bullies' time they stuffed $3 in my hand aggressively and dismissed me like I was the problem. 1 star for the way Saul and his shift manager made a loyal customer feel.
