Thought I could run in for a pleasant builders gel fill before work but it wasn't pleasant. I had been coming here since before they remodeled it. Always had great service, loved Suzie she recommended the builders gel! (Life saver) I've brought my husband, my daughter, my cousins and others to this spot. Except this last time was such an awful experience I won't return. I walked in and the lady greeted me right away, nice, she asked what I wanted, I said black, offset or anything with black, glitter etc. She brought me only the cat eye which I declined. I just want black or something similar black blue, something dark I wasn't too sure honestly, usually the nail ladies here are great and give you options. I expected the book or pallet with the colors, which I didn't get, fine. I'm not sure if it was her first time working there? I've never had an issue when I asked for a certain color, usually they bring me whatever books or examples they have so I have option to choose. Only option I got was cat eye. She said we don't have others just the black, so I guess plain black it was, again not a problem. I've just been to other salons where they had different versions of black, onyx, licorice, glossy, glitter, metallic, my mistake this one didn't. She said I had to get my builder gel removed on one finger because it was coming off, fine, no problem... Then she starts making comments, your nails are uneven, what do you want to do??... I replied, Make them even please?? I begin to felt a rudeness and attitude from her, I felt uncomfortable. Then she proceeded to show me and get louder, they're uneven see... at this point I'm like ok, do whatever you want with them, just make them nice.... Then she says what's wrong, you look tired. Like ma'am, are you here to make remarks on me or just do my nails please. At this point I don't want her to do my nails, they find someone else to finish ... Another girl at table 5. I tell her the same thing, and at this point just black, I don't even wanna bother with anything else. She got to it, no complaints with her besides the only thing she said was, "You look tired." And then I'm guessing she was upset she had to finish my nails because that's how she came off. I've never been to an established that continued to tell a customer they looked tired. At this point I WAS tired, tired of being there. She finished, just did my fill& color and THATS IT! No cuticle care whatsoever or Moisturizer, luckily had so in my car. I don't really care about the massage part, but maybe if I'm paying for the full service. Unfortunately was a good spot but back to VIP nails I go. I’m here in Cali for vacation and needed my nails done before driving to Vegas tomorrow. Came here due to the high reviews. I get my nails done fairly often as my family owns nail salons in PA and gotten them done before I came out. After 3 weeks here I needed to get them redone, so I came here. I’m still sitting in front of the store looking at my nails. I wish I could give them a good review but after seeing my nails finished I’m not too happy, but I’m also not someone going to make them redo it since it’s not terrible but not good either. Woman that did my nails, I was at table 4 (never got her name) saw the design I wanted and she started with the base coat on my right hand. I put it in the light while she worked on my other hand. When we went back to my right hand she was putting the polish color on but then stopped. Wiped all my nails off with a paper towel and used the buffer to remove the base coat off all my nails on the right hand and started all over again. The polish is blotchy and there’s air bubbles. The white tips also not uniform in color throughout the nail. One nail the white is bleeding. My middle finger on my right hand doesn’t even have the polish going up towards the base of my nail. Another lady came to her and asked if she couldn’t do the design and stood watching a bit and gave her some advice. She said she was fine and in Vietnamese said that my hands were too small (they didn’t know I’m Vietnamese too). When I was checking out the same lady that tried to give advice asked how they turned out. I just responded with its fine hesitantly since I didn’t really get to look at them. I’ve had more bad experiences than good here and I’ve been quite a few times the last time I came in which was two days ago for my birthday set. I showed him what I wanted and he seemed irritated so I told him I would keep looking for something while he did my nails by the time he was done shaping them and everything he let out a sigh and was like your nails are too long, so instead of getting the design, I opted for just a basic French tip and said I would come back The following day. When I came back the next day as soon as I walked in, she was like how can we help you and I told her I was there to finish my design Usually, they sit you down and you wait to go back and then once you’re at the chair you tell them what you want and they give you pricing She immediately asked me to show her what I want and pulled out the calculator right then in there, and the guy runs up who did my nails and says something in their Language so I couldn’t understand and she starts to calculating so I said if you don’t want to do my nails, you can just say that she said no but by the time she was at $65 for just a design on my nails. I told her never mind. Have a great day. It felt like they just did not want to do my nails and mind you. It was a simple French tip ombre design with some 3-D gel on top and I’ve had multiple experiences where ive showed them a design and they try and give me a cheaper Easier option and when I tell them if you can’t do it, it’s OK. They always try and put it on you By saying it’s expensive I don’t care about the price. I just want my nails done how I want it not a cheap offbrand version of it so I will never be going there again. They’re rude dismissive And their work isn’t quality it’s just about Easiest...
