Boba Tea Bar — Restaurant in Bakersfield

I've been here twice now. The loose leaf green tea I had here this second time was NOT pure green tea -not even close (even though the staff STRONGLY INSISTED that it was), it tasted like a type of Jasmine tea. The first time I came here (about a week beforehand) I ordered the exact same thing and it was the correct, "pure" green tea then. They offered to remake it this time around, but with the exact same stuff -which would have been pointless. Also, the first time they couldn't figure out how to get the wing fryer to work so they refunded my money back. This time when I ordered wings they got it working, but instead of giving me an order of Buffalo & an order of lemon pepper, they gave me an order of "Buffalo lemon pepper" all mixed together in a weird tasting sauce for some reason. I don't know why anyone would ever think of an order of something like that. Seriously!?!? It took 20 minutes to make & i didn't feel like complaining AGAIN and waiting another 20 minutes. Not to mention that they said they were out of ranch dressing, so instead they gave me "ranch powder" instead. Yeah.... needless to say, I won't be...

Tea Bar is by far my ultimate favorite beverage spot in Kern County. I have tried numerous tea spots, especially since bubble tea has hit like a wild frenzy with a dozen new places in Bakersfield over the last two years. Tea Bar's tea is fresh brewed tea that they make for your order specifically. They will meet any specific request that you may have. (I know they sure do it for me and I am....picky.) Their staff is always kind, whether it's my favorite staff members who have been there for years: Brigid, Mariah, Julia and Isaiah! Or even the new hires following in their footsteps. We went here today. Never again. My sister ordered a boba milk tea. It didn't contain any boba. We asked the employee about it. She said "the boba isn't ready yet". We explained she should have told us beforehand, and we would have made a different choice. She explained it doesn't automatically come with boba. We said "is called BOBA milk tea. There are pictures of boba all over the walls. She then said "I didn't name it". Totally non apologetic about the whole thing. I ordered an almond tea. They automatically put sweetener in it. It was gross. Again, if I had known they sweeten the tea I would have declined to order anything. Waste of money! By the way, no refunds per the sign...
