This was my first visit to Sprout. I enjoyed many choices I could make for organic foods. However, I had some issues today regarding refund policy and the training of staff members. Among $200 purchases, I found that there were rotten Milk and peach. A few days later, I took them with the receipt to the counter to get a refund. The staff and store manager were polite but kept saying they could not refund rotten milk and peaches even though I brought the receipt because I did not bring the credit card I used when I purchased those items. They said they recently updated the system, and they can no longer refund the product if the customer did not bring the credit card. I asked to replace the rotten milk with other fresh items. But the store manager said, “No, we can’t. You need to bring the credit card that you used for the purchase.” I asked, could you refund my purchases with the gift card? Other stores, such as Walmart and Target, refund the items with the gift card if the customer did not bring the credit card. The store manager said no. I was very frustrated at that moment. Before I left the store, I asked them to try my credit card other than the one I used for the purchases. There was nothing to lose. Surprisingly refund was processed. I was also surprised at how the store manager and staffs are underprepared to meet the customer who visits Sprout, which is one of the pricy grocery stores in the community. If the refund was so easy as this, there was no need to argue with the staff member and store manager about how to get refund. It was not a...
Read moreI’m writing this review to thank the deli team. I’d taken a 1 year break off being vegan for 10 years to fulfill a promise to my Mamá & discovered the Sprouts Deli selection of super delicious yet mega cost effective meat sandwiches. I was blown away & recommended them to everyone in my circle. Returned to plant based foods this year & thought I would have to give them up. Nope! Jennifer at the deli turned me onto their red pepper hummus sandwich & now she & several of the others there have been making it for me ever since. I appreciate them for the effort since at times they are crazy busy & they still try to make it look & taste great! When I’m not shopping & happen to stand by as they work it’s nice to just hear them socializing as they tinker away at their duties. Hearing their laughter reminds me I shop there to support those in my local community. It’s not dry & superficial like some places around town. They make me enjoy the atmosphere so much so that I find myself taking my time while shopping there more than I do at other places where I purposely rush in & out because it’s less pleasant. Slice it however you want. They’re a great team. Thanks for everything, guys!
P.S. Update 08/20/25: Ashly, Vinny & Jen in the deli made my “normie” hummus sandwich taste top-notch after my favorite was discontinued. Moe at the sushi station crafts theeeee best veggie rolls with real talent, & over at the bakery Cat’s thoughtful vegan cookie sample had me back the next day for a WHOLE BAG! True customer care across all areas of...
Read moreI stopped by Spouts today with the plan of buying a sandwich from their deli. There were two or three employees behind the counter cutting meats and working away. I waited a few minutes in the hope one would look in my direction so I could place my order however none did. I moved to where a young woman was making sushi rolls and asked her if I could order a sandwich. She gave me a foul look and gestured me to go to the sandwich area to order. She walked a few feet to a co-worker who was cutting meat and told her I wanted a sandwich and then she gave me another look of contempt. Now I was angry. I apologized to her and her co-worker for bothering them as they were obviously too busy to deal with me and I left. The co-worker made an attempt to stop me and I don't think she was at fault but I was very bothered. I can't think of ever having been treated so rudely. On a positive note, I went to Subway a few doors down and got a 6-inch and a bag of chips for a little over five bucks. The staff there were very polite and I was greeted with a smile rather than contempt. In the future I will give the Sprouts...
