8/21/25: ‼️buyer beware ‼️ if you are going to purchase anything here and return it --be prepared for a line that wraps around the building. They do not have their own dedicated return line. Today I went into return one item and I even asked the manager and he said he didn't ever think they'd have a dedicated return line. TJ Maxx in Bakersfield DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMERS HAVE TO WAIT IN LIVE REGARDLESS if they are purchasing or returning. 7/5/25: I came two different days in a row after July 2nd to return some items, and on both times only two to three registers open, why do you make all these people wait in such a long line and not open your 12 registers???? 7/2/25: fast forward 6 months. Still no improvement with the line situation, hey management when are you going to do something about it? I patiently stood in line for almost half an hour. There were only two registers open that I could see and you have about 12 registers? What is the problem with putting people behind the register when you have people all over the floor! Do something about it! The lines are unsatisfactory! 12/6/24: I went in here to return an item I bought 2 weeks before, there is no stand-alone return line! The only way to return something is to stand in line with all the other hundreds of bodies. And I'm not exaggerating! On this particular day it was 4:30 p.m. literally wrapped around five lines of light around the checkout lines. I immediately turned around and walked back out of the building. They need to have a stand alone return line unsatisfactory! I had to go to the other TJ Maxx store at 11:30 a.m. the following week and of course the same thing having to stand in line 40 minutes. 11/2024: I went into specifically by two or three items first place I went to was ladies room can't believe how disgusting it looked, not clean at all and one of the toilet paper reels was broken and on the floor. It's really gone downhill which is sad. Plus it was so packed the line was so long felt very uncomfortable with how crowded it was, why doesn't security monitor how many people come in and out at a given time like...

Ive been to TJ Max several times out of the Bay Area as I reside from there and understanding how a comapny works, all employees should uphold the same level of chivalry and respect. Im down here for work at the moment but had to come and speak up as I had a very unfortunate experience with a front cashier. I didn't catch her name but she was an older woman of color that was wearing glasses and she was extremely rude and out of character for the company standards. I accidentally advanced to her front desk as I thought she had flagged me down by her spot. Upon seeing me advance towards her she immediately walked away to handle some job duties which is ok but a bit rude, as I remained patient she comes back and rudely said "I didn't call for you" as if she was questioning me. She then rang me up but had rude mannerisms and remarks such as "Next time pay attention" and "Ill serve you this time" as well as "We dont have bags large enough for these items, I dont know if you knew that" even when I was well aware of this and didnt ask for bags at all. The projection of her tones were rude and uncalled for and I honestly should have just walked out due to...

I purchased a car vacuum just to find the wrong item inside. I called and spoke to an assistant manager who told me I could come into the store, even though I lost my receipt, with an valid CA issued ID. I went into the store today to be humiliated and made to look like a liar! After not getting helped by the associates and assistant, I asked to speak to the store manager, Tim D. Tim was very rude and said my story wasn’t adding up? And I had to show him bank statements in order to get any type of exchange or store credit. He also said he deals with many people like me? I said what? N he then told me his spouse is Mexican and has the last name Gonzalez? I don’t understand him and his tactics but I will never go to a TJ maxx again. Horrible customer...
