I visited this restaurant for the first time this past weekend. It was an awful experience. If 0 stars were an option that would have been considered. It garnered 2 stars due to the delicious food and Julian in plain clothes (assumed manager). I was fine with sitting outside to the side of the entrance to the right while the rest of the tables were to the left. I mention that table position in order to throw them a bone and say that's the reason we were completely ignored. We were sat, brought water, & two sharing plates. Then NOTHING. While waiting for a refill in my water glass placed on the edge of the table, I noticed the plate on top was dirty. I watched staff make rounds to all tables on the left. No one came to our single table on the right. I decided to go in to ask for water and a new plate from our waitress. Julian was not our waiter but assured my expectations would be met and they were. Nearly as soon as I sat back down. Then the newly implemented ordering system got the best of me. Apparently all orders even in-restaurant are done online. My companion had a special order. As I typed the special order it would not allow spaces between the words on my end, although I could see them being typed. I clicked send. The special order was delivered to my table without chicken on the chicken nachos. I went in to ask that the plain chicken nachos be redone with chicken as I originally requested . The staff member accused me of using the system incorrectly. Thankfully, Julian, stepped in. As I explained the request for the missing chicken on the chicken nachos the male staff member abruptly walked away with visible attitude. Julian brought our corrected order to the table. Julian inadvertently became our waiter as well as a lot of other diners. I witnessed this man solely & speedily attend to all tables on the left-right side of the of the restaurant while still attending to us. Then I noticed one of the glasses had lipstick on it and I wasn't wearing any. After I reported it to Julian, he promptly took care of it and came back with offers of apology and to make it right. Based solely on Julian's customer efforts of above and beyond to make up for the lack of care and customer service from the staff, my companion and I will return to give this place a second chance. The food was absolutely delicious, no argument there. Hats off to the chef and menu planner. The menu had an excellent selection. I enjoyed the outdoor seating. Julian was great. I saw when he walked in and he was on from the moment he hit the door. Right now I can't recommend this place. But I look forward to giving them time, (to retrain staff) before I revisit. BTW Julian suggest if you have a special order to type "see table #_). I agree,...
Read moreLet me just start with the fact that this review has absolutely nothing to do with the service. Our server was wonderful and they did everything right. We ended up here because it's across the street from my husband's doctor and we were starving.
It's 2025 and things are expensive so if I go out to eat with my family I want to feel like our money was well spent or eat something that I couldn't make better at home. That was absolutely not our experience at Eureka.
My 10 year old ordered the kid's burger plain with fries $11.50 - it ended up being the size of a meatball on a stale bun with zero seasoning. We pretty much forced him to eat it. The fries were good.
My husband ordered the Eureka Salad with chicken $20.50 - for their namesake salad you would think it would be amazing right? No, it came out in a tiny bowl with 4 slices of dried chicken breast and no dressing on the salad, we then waited 5 minutes before I was able to stop a server and ask for dressing. I could have gone across the street to target and gotten everything I needed to make a better salad for less than $20.50.
I ordered the Napa Chicken Sandwich with a Caesar salad for the side $18.50 - the salad was warm and wilted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp and there was little to no dressing. The sandwich was a tiny dry chicken breast, some sort of white cheese that was supposed to be havarti but had zero flavor, two pieces of bacon (that were really good) 4 large "roasted" Roma tomatoes, half wilted arugula, unimpressive pesto smear on a soggy untoasted french roll.
I also ordered the lavender iced tea $6.00 that was really delightful but pretty expensive for the amount of liquid you actually get.
The bathrooms were disgusting and one of the toilets in the women's restroom was clogged and gross and another customer told me it had been like that since she gotten there about an hour before!
I did not feel like my money was well spent or that they can cook anything better than a mediocre homemade meal would be. I expressed my disappointment to our server and the manager and they did try to make it right but at that point we had already been there for an hour and I wasn't interested. The manager did comp the Eureka Salad for us. I just feel like if you are going to be charging prices like that and present an upgraded dining setting you should try a little harder to give people their monies worth and make sure your amenities are in working order. So no I won't be going back to gamble on whether they can get it right a second...
Read moreThis review is solely on the customer service we received-or lack of. If I could give no stars, I would.
I took my 16 year old daughter and mother to try Eureka. We arrived on a regular Saturday at 4:16pm and since there was no wait time we were seated right away. As we were seated we were handed our menus and told our server would be with us. After 10 mins, we noticed more customers (arriving after us) were being seated near our table. Except their drinks and orders were being taken. I waited patiently thinking it was just an oversight and someone would be with us. After 20 min of seeing several tables being waited on and all we had were menus, I walked up to the front to the same employee who seated us and politely asked her if we could get three waters because I believe our table was being ignored. She said she would have someone bring them out to is. Sadly, even with me getting up and requesting something as simple as water and letting them know we felt ignored didn't get their attention. We waited another few min and still nothing. Finally 30 min later, a party of 6 is seated right next to us and when I noticed their server begin taking their drink order and ask if they were ready to order I gave up. I had my daughter and mother get up and we left. Not one server around bothered to make it right or apologize. Shame on Eureka staff. One staff member even saw us leaving and said nothing. I even overheard a customer sitting near by say "they have been waiting and no one has helped them" as we were leaving. From the parking lot, I turn back only to see an employee cleaning our table. Eureka staff, you should be ashamed.
We were seated at 4:16 and left at 4:48, with not once someone coming to ask us if we needed anything or if we had been helped.
Clearly this establishment ignored us making us feel unwelcome, and I'm not sure why. I really want to believe that race had nothing to do with it but sadly I feel it may have. No one should judge a book by its cover, we were ready to eat and I was excited to show my mother some of my favorite items on the menu. Eureka please train your staff better and I truly hope being humble Latinas had nothing...
