The management does not stand by its merchandise. I purchased three woven trivets yesterday. I was warned by the sales associate that returns must be made within 48 hours. I took it as a hint: “buyer beware.” Since they were kitchen items, and I was unsure of their quality, I washed them on a cool, gentle cycle. I was disappointed when they all frayed. I tried to return them the next day.
The manager refused to refund my money. She insisted that laundered items were never acceptable to return (Many people launder pots, pans, dishes, towels, intimate items, etc., before using or wearing.). She also argued that they would not be refundable even if they had laundered poorly after a week’s use because 48 hours would have expired. She said she needed to protect her small vendors. In other words, the consumer must be willing to shoulder the cost when buying defective merchandise from well meaning small businesses. I wish there were a little more variety of homemade crafts but I think as the store's reputation becomes a little more widespread that may increase. I did spend my fair share. I completely understand the return policy but think they should make allowances for clothing items since there is not a dressing room on site or IF there is, have staff that answers questions when asked instead of talking to one another. Walked around last weekend and there are still giveaway papers out from Mother’s Day and Easter items still set up in most booths. McAlisters cups sitting on some shelves along with items scattered around on the floors.
Seems like the vendors just set up and left their stuff for months without coming back.
It’s most of the same thing now, cheap clothing made with a Cricut that can be found online...
