I checked out a new coffee spot that just opened nearby. Went there on the first day (Saturday) and the place had a really inviting vibe. The decor was simple but eye-catching. I asked for their signature drink, the Ground Latte, which is a mix of caramel and madeleine flavors, and grabbed a coffee muffin too.
I was super excited because it's only about 5 minutes from my place. The first couple of sips of the latte were great, but then the almond extract flavor kicked in, and that ruined it for me (I'm not a fan of almond extract at all). But the coffee muffin was a hit! It wasn't dry and had a lot of flavor, though a bit more coffee would’ve made it perfect. The texture contrast between the crunchy top and the soft muffin, especially around the spices, was awesome.
I didn’t want to base my review on just one visit, so I tried to go again on Sunday, but they were closed. Went back on Monday, and the same friendly lady was there. She asked how I liked the drink, and I was honest with her. She then recommended a new drink they were testing out: the white chocolate blackberry latte. I never thought I’d try something like that, but it was amazing! The flavors were perfectly balanced.
I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to try more of...
Read moreThey have the most delicious assortment of beverages and baked goods! I suggest trying their house latte for starters, and pair it with a slice of their homemade, Ann & Allen banana bread! Those have quickly become my favorites! The coffeehouse is decorated with amazing art pieces, comfy furniture, thrifted gold, and PLANTS! There is an abundance of signage, so I had no issue accesssing their WiFi, determining prices, or figuring out which products/plants were for sale. Downstairs is their plant shop, and it is filled with a vast variety of houseplants for purchase. Everything looks so lush and green, always. There were a few that stated “not for sale”, but I learned that they were either shop staples or were rescues that were being revived/kept as their own. Some were even brought in by customers, and they were attempting to salvage them. They have pots with drainage holes, watering stakes, suncatchers, jewelry, greeting cards, and an assortment of handcrafted (local artisan) pieces for sale, as well! These people are true coffee and plant lovers, with an eye for design and detail!! I love it!! 10/10 highly...
Read moreDecided randomly to try this place out and wanted to see how the service was early in the morning and see what they offered. I didn't want to complain about anything to the barista, just strictly wanted to see how I was treated. I walked in this morning at 6:23am. I was greeted. Waited a few minutes for the barista to finish a previous drink for one other person in the coffee shop. I asked for a drip coffee - wasn't asked about a size, but I was asked about leaving room for cream. I ordered a drip coffee and a slice of lemon poppy seed cake. I was given the heel, which had a lot of icing but not a lot of cake, which is what I really wanted. I paid $9.50 which the coffee was about $3.62, the lemon cake was $3.95 and probably with tax and something else will add up to $9.50. They must charge some kind of credit card fee that isn't posted anywhere? At least I didn't see it. Anyway, I liked the atmosphere but I wasn't impressed with anything else - drip coffee was standard nothing too special. Lemon...
