I live in California and I have been suffering from acute lower back for almost 2 years now and I have tried it all - yoga, physical therapy, acupuncture, hip adjustment, multiple visits to primary care, sleeping on the floor, changing beds, bed rest and so on....3 weeks ago i had to take long flight from California to Baltimore on business trip and I ended up in the hotel room (Hilton Garden Inn Baltimore Inner Harbor) in absolute pain and helpless where i could not bend and couldn't stand straight ......this prompted for me to almost consider checking into John Hopkins hospital but as last try my husband convinced me to see physical therapy clinic which he miraculous found to be in the same building as my hotel......with my past failed experiences I had little to no trust in physical therapy and I was reluctant to go...however it being Sunday and the owner Caroline agreeing to open the clinic and see me on Sunday said a lot about this clinic and i just wanted to give it a try......I am more than thrilled and happy to inform you all Caroline is a miracle worker who did amazing therapy to help regain my strength and address the pain i have been facing for years. ........please note Caroline went above and beyond to drive to clinic on Sunday despite being a holiday and she at a birthday party, yet was so willing to come see and treat me as i was in pain......through out the 4 days of my stay in Baltimore Caroline and all other therapists i saw each day did amazing work on my problem areas. It didnt matter which therapist i would be assigned to that day..yet they were all well informed and knew exactly what needed to be done...also to note that additionally Caroline each day personally checked on me to see my well being. ......what stands out from any other physical therapy clinic to Elite PT is the fact that each Elite therapist spends the entire session working with their hands and manually working fixing the problem areas. I never had anyone diagnose my issue in so many years and the unknown of my issue bothered me the most. I am not 100% pain free and I understand this is chronic and will take some time, but the feeling that my issue has a name and someone (Caroline miracle) rightly diagnosed it and addressed it wants me to believe in no less of a miracle than a co-incidence.....I am back in California and i have reason to look forward to cross country business trips only to Baltimore!!....anyone with any kind of back pain issues please dont suffer, truly physical therapy(if you lucky to find great physical therapist...which you will at Elite!) is the solution in most cases and please give yourself a chance to get treated with manual physical therapist at Elite. Wishing everyone good health and my sincere thank you and best wishes to everyone at Elite, in...
Read moreI could walk to several physical therapists in Towson, but I'd rather drive to Elite. The therapists are thoroughly professional, but kind, compassionate, and supportive. They listen carefully to what you say to figure out what's going on with a balky knee (it's the hip!) or neck. At other offices, I've felt like they were operating from a template and that if your neck hurts, then it's an 85% chance it's x and they haven't heard that you can't lift your arm over your head. Many other pt offices also provide wham, bam, thank you ma'am services, meaning they rub the little sound wave wand on your injury, have you do two or three exercises with a tech (who's often thoroughly uninterested), then stim or heat/ice, and see you next time. Not at Elite. The hour is filled with hands on therapy, a check to see that the therapy has had an effect, and then you work with the tech. And about that tech: these young women and men aren't just clocking their hours they need to get into a pt program just wiping down tables and making sure the warm packs are warm (they do that, too) The therapists are teach the techs so that they know how the exercise should be performed, and why it was selected. If a tech has a question about an exercise, he or she might be asked what muscle is being used or why the client is doing that exercise. Finally, it's not all about the pain. They ask what it is you want to accomplish and work to make it happen. I can't say enough good things about...
Read moreI've been going to Elite PT for close to 2 months now following a car accident. I can say without a doubt this is the best PT office I've ever been to and the best PT office in Baltimore City. From the first time I spoke with Marni at the entrance and over the phone, she clearly advised me on what was needed document wise to ensure there were no billing/insurance hiccups during my treatment.
From my initial exam with my PT, Ally, I quickly learned how thorough and communicative Elite PT were going to be. Ally took her time to ask plenty of questions and understand the extent of my injuries to help develop a care plan customized for me. She was always attentive and answered all of questions as I asked. She made sure for every exercise that I perfromed, I was simultaneously being educated on the benefits and what each exercise addressed.
And I can't forget Sarah. She was the tech that helped me improve my form in all of the various exercises to ensure I was getting optimal benefit. She's funny too but knows how to keep the patient engaged and driven.
Caroline, the owner, and her pup, Ella, really are a dynamic duo as they've built an excellent team of Staff and PTs. Over the last couple of months, I've really gotten to know everyone and the environment is super positive. Every patient I've seen, leaves smiling. Makes you feel like you're speaking to friends you've known for a long time. I highly recommend...
