I had high hopes for this and still hoping things turn around...
I dropped off a sentimental turquoise ring in need of repair - back in mid October of 2024. It belonged to my late aunt who was my whole world - I was originally told that the repair would only take about a week.
I have still not received the ring after calling several times and repeatedly run into a voicemail box that is full - while still receiving no word on the status of the repair. It is now mid January 2025.
To my surprise, Stephen did pick up the phone once on January 10th, 2025 - and told me he would give me a call the next day, to pick up my ring that is ready - but then there was no answer following that experience.
I decided to stop by the shop in person on January 12th, when I was in the area. I saw 2 other couples also trying to reach him but there was no notice on the shop doors and the door was locked.
I am assuming something has happened to cause such a delay and I hope that all is ok with Stephen as Stephen is so friendly and I know he is great at what he does.
I do hope to hear an update within the coming days and finally pick up my ring.
Still praying that I get my ring back in whatever condition it is in. It means so much to me and it's...
Read moreI bought two engraved stainless steel rings off of Etsy for my anniversary and they came in the wrong sizes. I needed a 6.5 and an 8 and they sent me a 5 3/4 and a 9.5. Stainless steel rings aren't really ones that can be resized because of the type of metal, but I didn't know that at the time so I brought them to Stephen anyway. He talked with me for a good 10 minutes about possible solutions so I could have the rings in time for my anniversary. He was able to use a ring stretcher to make mine the 6.5 I needed, and he put in a liner to make my girlfriend's ring an 8. It fit her perfectly. He really helped me out in such a time crunch with rings not typically able to be resized. Thank you, Stephen!!! You have a returning...
Read moreToday, I came in with a vintage ring I have worn so frequently that it had a small crack on one side. I asked his opinion on whether the stone needed replacing. Stephen took it, examined it, and polished it quickly, right then and there. He gave me exciting news (that its fine as is for now and to keep wearing it), knowledgeable information about it (like that it was oxidized turquoise, not the aventurine I thought it had been for all these years), and options for replacement if needed down the road. I'm excited to bring more pieces to him for repair and customization. Stephen is a master jeweler--highly...
