Hair By Char — Local services in Baltimore

I went here one time for a special they had on Wednesday’s for silk press and my hair turned out ok nothing special. Then I bought a groupon for $150 worth of services for $60 but couldn’t reach her by phone. So I went to the shop and she was like “oh no I told Groupon to take it down because $150 worth of services for $60 is ridiculous”. I didn’t say anything but I was thinking lady your the one who put it on there. Honestly the Groupon was ridiculous tho ( see picture attached) So I said “ok, well how much for a relaxer, trim, conditioning and pony tail”. This lady said about $300. I was like whatttt 😱. She said “well the relaxer is $70 the shampoo, trim and conditioning is $70 and the pony tail is $70”. I told her but the shampoo should be included with the relaxer and she was like “ok, I’ll take $20 off”. I was like no that’s ok. I say all that to say this, she a rip off, I mean first you tell me it’s $300 but that only equal $210 so I guess you planned on adding more charges for no reason. My experience with this company was just ok. I ordered 4 bundles and a 18inch closure and her hair ain’t cheap. I clearly received a 14inch. I emailed her and she responded in a timely manner. She was sure I received my accurate order, which I didn’t but stated that I could meet her to switch the closer out. I was shock because I didn’t know she was here in Atlanta and I normally prefer not purchase hair over the internet because you never know, people are not honest these days. I agreed and she was supposed to contact me back and never did. I was frustrated but time was not on my side . I had a wedding to go to and my hair appointment was the next day.. luck for me my stylist made it work. My stylist also agreed that is was the wrong length. The quality is beautiful I will give here that..I do recommend her. My kids threw away my bag that had my hair In there. I am literally screaming. I just ordered some more, because her is just that good. I just hope there’s no mistake this time, because I do work hard...

I honestly have to say, if you are even thinking of the idea of scheduling an appointment with Char, just do it!! You will leave the salon satisfied and feeling yourself.

I had an silk press done towards the end of July and it lasted so long (to me, 7 days). I could have made it longer if I wasn’t sweating so much during my trip to Texas, but I’ve never had a straight style last as long as it did with temperatures breaking 109 degrees and 80% humidity. And y’all, my nappy+curls were poppin’ after I washed my hair out. I used the Monoi line by Carols Daughter to wash and condition and then sprayed a little Aphogee Keratin & Green Tea Restructurizer along with a leave-in conditioner.

Just booked another appointment with Char again!...
