The food was great and I wanted to take my leftovers home. I asked one of the waitresses for a box and she agreed. She then proceeded to pile trash on my plate. She also didn’t communicate whether the bill would come to the table or is paid at the register. Very upsetting and unprofessional. It’s important for the staff to understand the customers beyond a language barrier to avoid incidents like this. Came back a second time to see if maybe they were just having a bad day. Racist towards Blacks, extremely lazy service and unprofessional. Gave others complementary nachos instead of us and I repeated the order several times and they didn’t put the order in and just left my guest sitting without food. They had the nerve to be annoyed when I asked about it. Didn’t put liquor in an alcoholic beverage and said it wasn’t enough for my guest to have the same drink. Must be the managers daughter blasting her laptop loudly by customers. So disrespectful....

Will give this place El Comalito one star cause there’s no zero star ! Ordered 14 pupusas over priced paid $47.00 for them. i opened the carry out boxes surprised me with a 2oz tomato paste mixture not really salsa for pupusas I don’t think these people knows what salsa is ? and a 2oz of “ chunk cabbage “ (curtido ) for 4 pupusas in each box. went back inside immediately to request more curtido and salsa the waitress charged me $4. 75 more for a 3oz tomato paste mixture an a about 6oz curtido extra the owner or manager yeld saying if there was not enough in the boxes sarcastically seriously? I am a person who doesn’t complain about paying for food but for gods sake served the Authentic pupusas and curtido con salsa the restaurant concept is Salvadorean food this has been the worst overpriced dried leftovers pupusas that I have had in my life. Amazing! I don’t know how they could get anything less than 5 stars. My only complaint is that they give too little red sauce and charge 2.00 for more. All the Salvadoran restaurants I have ever been to have given an abundance of red sauce. That is the only down fall. On the other hand I have been looking for a good pupusa place in Maryland for 3+ years and they have all been awful of tolerable. For the first time since I left home in California 10 years ago I have the same taste or better of Pupusas! I got the chicken and the mixed pork pupusas.
