RoofTop HoT Local & Organic Market — Local services in Baltimore

I love this place! I shop here at least 1x/wk - the quality of product has never disappointed me. They have an amazing selection of produce, dairy products, meats, veggies & fruit, CHOCOLATE, frozen foods, juices, condiments, etc., all of which are either organic, vegan (not the meat, duh), gluten free, ethically produced, locally sourced, or any combination. While they offer an excellent and varied selection, there aren't so many options that you feel overwhelmed and confused (like at a large grocery store) so making a selection is quick and easy and you know it's quality. The owners travel weekly (or more) to ensure the widest variety of the freshest local produce and fruits, and it shows! My favorite are the heads of lettuce with the roots still on - so fresh with so much flavor, and lasts a lot longer than I expect lettuce to last (especially that prepackaged, preservative-treated sh it). The market brings me some nostalgia as it reminds me so much of the markets I shopped in Northern California.

Had to take a moment to rave about this place! I was out on a walk with my two human kids + one fur baby when I remembered I needed to grab milk. But the logistics of bringing everyone inside? A nightmare.⁣ ⁣ I called the store to see if they’d do a curbside transaction. And after one ring, Sabrina was instantly amazing. She didn’t hesitate: “Of course!” She came outside to complete my purchase and even gave me her cell in case I ever needed help again.⁣ ⁣ We need our local corner stores. Way more than local organic produce! I found local honey (finally!), local bacon (YES!), local dairy, local sweets, local herbs (that you can grow or already grown - fresh or dried), locally made crafts (made by a ceramic artist from the neighborhood!)
