It all started when a small black granite fireplace surround that came with the house collapsed and fell on the floor, fragmenting into a few different pieces.

We found TopStone and went to their facility to look at replacement options. Kelly mentioned the possibility of doing the entire wall, not just a thin perimeter, with stone. The idea stuck, and we then went to look at slabs of stones at some of the nearby locations they suggested.
