Marc's Stores — Local services in Barberton

I like Marc’s, I used to go to Giant Eagle all of the time but since Marc’s opened up I go there all of the time. The only thing I still go to Giant Eagle is for their meats and deli because to be honest, in my opinion Marc’s has terrible lunch meats and their meat department doesn’t impress me whatsoever, the rest of the store is pretty good, the staff is always friendly and helpful, except for one older lady who works at the customer service desk, she made rude comments to me, rolled her eyes when I asked her if I could check out there, I wanted cigarettes so that’s why I went to customer service to check out, I only had a loaf of bread and a bottle of Propel water, she rolled her eyes and rudely said “I guess so”, she definitely has a major attitude problem, I can’t understand why management hasn’t gotten rid of her, I’m an employer as well and if I found out one of my employees treated a customer that way she would be immediately fired on the spot. Other then that, management seems to be on top of things, the store is clean, well organized and the shelves...

I went in looking for boneless chicken thighs. There were none. The prices for the bone-in chicken thighs was rather good. I almost said tasty. I also was looking for chicken livers and there are none to be found. The selection in the meat department and the chicken department with regards to fresh meat was tiny. The store was very well stocked otherwise with other things but that's not what I was looking for. I'm sure there's a lot of great deals there. But that's not my go-to when it comes to chicken thighs or chicken livers or any kind of fresh meat. And when I went in to this location in barberton Ohio, I didn't know how to actually enter the store while I was in the store because there was some kind of electronic gate. It lacked direction. I did not know how to get into the store directly. And then when leaving the store, I found myself confused. I walked towards a checkout lane that didn't have a gate and I walk through and I was met by a police officer. I explained to this female police officer that I was just trying to get out of the...

I would give the store zero stars if I could because of how DISRESPECTED I was treated by the manager there. Someone I was with addressed a safety concern due to a semi doing a delivery to the FRONT of the store that's why deliveries should be delivered to the BACK of the store. We almost got hit because the semi was parked on the WRONG side of the road and sticking out, blocking traffic and FLICKED them off. They had asked to speak to the manager that was on duty and he DIDN'T care and said that the driver wasn't his employee and there was nothing he could do. Then he proceeded to tell both of us to get out of his store and don't come back. He was also very passive about the issue. Maybe he shouldn't be a manager if that's how he will deal with issues that are brought to his attention.
