I had always driven by the place, and finally stopped in to see how it was. Sadly, I should have kept driving...

First, we started with Coconut Shrimp. It came out and had a nice color to it, but we bit in, and it was mush. Turned out it hadn't been cooked a the way through. The waitress let us know they would replace them, and the subsequent ones served up to us we're marginally better, but not cooked evenly. Some of the batter hadn't even been cooked. I assume they were deep fried, and I don't know how this was possible.

Next came salad and coleslaw. First off, the coleslaw was the best thing of the night. It's genuinely good with a crisp cabbage taste and a pleasant cream-based dressing. The only critique is that it may have been a little over dressed. The salad wasn't noteworthy. It was a typical side salad, somewhat substandard.

Next came the main courses. We tried the ribs and their CAB Filet with mushro risotto. I ordered the steak Medium Rare, and it was nearing well done. WAY overcooked. The waitress asked if I wanted a new one, but at that point, I didn't bother. The food and execution was just poor overall, and there was no way it was going to be a good dining experience. The mushroom risotto was inedible...it tasted as if the cream was off.

The ribs were cooked excellently, and we're very tender, but the sauce they use is unappetizing. It tasted as if someone got a can of Hunt's Tomato Paste and poured tremendous amounts of vinegar in it, followed with a little brown sugar. It was outright sour and took a dish that had potential and ruined it. The fries that came with it were traditional handcut fries. Nothing noteworthy.

Total bill came to $72 and it felt that it was worth more like $30 total. A true disappointment and we certainly won't be returning. I don't understand how anyone can eat here...

The green diamond is a fabulous local restaurant with great food. The owner and his wife are absolutely awesome people! Unfortunately certain members are their staff or should I say bartenders(Amber) who, like to be extremely disrespectful and rude to longtime patrons, and then have the audacity to refuse to serve you. When you don’t tip them due to their behavior is a palling. In my last three visits to the green diamond, their bartender, completely disrespected me and my wife ignored us for over 30 minutes while there was only six people in the bar other than us and neglected to even ask us what we would like to drink until the owner forced her to take our order! Just to say she didn’t get a tip for her behavior or service. Several days later, I returned by myself with a friend. She continued to be extremely rude and disrespectful thus not receiving a tip for me again! One week later, I return to this establishment she refuses to serve me because of the last two previous visits, I did not tip her, and I explain to her it was due to her behavior, and how she treated me and my wife! Again the owner John and his wife are awesome people. They have great food and the atmosphere is fantastic. Unfortunately I will not return during business hours where this particular bartender is working due to the service in level of disrespect that I have received on numerous occasions. John! Semper...

I made reservations a week ago for 11 people at the blue diamond to celebrate my son's wedding. We arrived at 11:45 for a noon reservation The server that greeted us had no idea the reservation existed, she got out the reservation book and saw our reservation and said we're not set up for you I wasn't aware of this. We can seat you back here (an area behind the bar) The tables were pushed together and we were seated. After 10 minutes our drink order was taken, we saw all the drinks sitting on the bar, they were finally brought to us 10 minutes more. But then the server disappeared. After another 20 minutes she finally came back to take our order, we should have known then. So the food was brought in a record Time of 30 more minutes with the Ruben sandwiches burnt and missing the thousand island dressing. Several of the meals didn't even come until everyone was done eating. Half of the mussels weren't open so they were uneatable We learned at the end a team of 30 baseball player came in after us, I guess staffing should have been addressed, maybe a look at the reservation book the night before?? This was our first time eating here and will be the last. Very...

The food was ok the sauerkraut balls were our favorite the coffee tho lukewarm ( was afternoon time) and sweet tea was also pretty good. My husband got the prime rib sandwich which came with a single bland 1/4” slice of prime rib with is really pricey for $17 I think. My sandwich was the Dipper with au ju and was good and very tender but I don’t prefer the raw sections of chipped beef in the center honestly Applebees version was better… we tried “varsity style fries” and it’s not my favorite thing just fair style fries and brown gravy probably wouldn’t choose that again. I’d have thought chunky white gravy would be a better combo. They were also out of a few things we were hoping for… especially French onion soup and any cobblers or anything. Mostly empty when we got there and a couple tables maybe 4-5 filled during our time there but service was pretty slow especially the time waiting to order or waiting on our check. The manager I assume was outgoing and helpful and helped move things along so we could put our leftovers in containers.

We were going to attend a play at the Magical Theater and wanted something local. We had reservations for nine so seating was not an issue. Because of the large group, we were seated in the bar area. The bar area is decorated like your typical sports bar. There are numerous sports memorabilia items on the walls, quite a bit from Barberton basketball "glory days". The bar area is comfortable. Our server was attentive. The bar seemed backed up so it took maybe 10 minutes to get drinks. They have both bottled and draft beers. They have four drafts to choose from. They also have wine and cocktail specials. I ordered prime rib and my wife had the surf and turf. My prime rib was quite good but just a bit over the medium I had asked for. The baked potato was decently cooked. My wife's lobster tail was good but her steak was a little chewy. We had the raspberry cobbler for dessert. It was a bit doughy and could have used more raspberries. The food was good, not great. Our whole table was satisfied with the service and their meals.

2nd time I have been here. Food is generally very good. VERY spendy by compare... for this price I would expect TOP quality steak, rather than median. Lobster was sweet and prepared correctly. House salad, as a 'side' choice was disappointing - tiny & basically an iceberg rind with a sprinkle of toppings ... reminiscent of a luncheonette diner/cafeteria salad. (I'll give a pass on account it was 9:30pm, business was slow and kitchen was closing. Still better than 'bag' lettuce). White French dressing is pretty good. Portion sizes are just right with a quaint, homey atmosphere. (Lobster in pic was de-shelled prior) Service was very good both times. Food was very good on the first visit, hence the return visit.
