Words cannot describe how much I love and enjoy this place. Not only do i come here after every payday, but i really do love the family that owns it. This place is stuffed to the roof with rare, unique, and useful military equipment from the first world war all the way up to current issue items. This is not some antique store with a few military items here and there. This is a true military surplus store. The staff, aka the owning family, is knowledgeable, with the owner having served in the Army, his son having been a Marine, and the co owner, his wife, being a master seamstress, and knowing just as much about military equipment as the other two. This place is great for the active or reserve soldier and collector alike. They do not harass you, or pressure you into buying, in fact they encourage and welcome people to come in and just look around. I feel as if the owners are my friends, as every time I go in, i find myself in a deep and interesting conversation with them about various different things. This is hands down the best place i have ever been. No matter what you are looking for, you will find it, and if you cant, they will find it for you and have it shipped straight to the store for you to pick up. 100/10 would recommend to anyone in search of military items, antiques, friendship, and advice. This family truly cares about service members and...
Read moreI absolutely love this Military Surplus store!! I passed this store twice. The initial size CSM be deceiving. Upon entering, youâre overcome by this phenomenal well displayed array of wall to wall military surplus. Put lightly... this store will blow u away!!! It took me just a few to just take it all in. Youâll see assorted current issue to First World War gear. The store is very clean. The owners & staff are both very knowledgeable and helpful. Aside from it appearing to be museum like... active duty service members bring in their uniforms for tailoring. As u traverse the museum, each room is set up in war theaters. Each room has an ambiance of the era, from the music being played to the gear and signage displayed. Youâll navigate a hallway, which will make u think youâre in a WW1 front line trench (pay close attention to the intricacies... they thought of everything!!). Theyâre soon expanding to include an apocalyptic survival room, which will naturally guide visitors thru to the store exit. I highly recommend this store and local Barberton seemed like a nice vintage town as well (more enjoyable in warmer weather!). The store is second from the end and parallel parking all around or more parking on the adjacent...
Read moreI have emailed 3 times over the last week and no reply to a simple question about a beret. A simple beret. I wanted to order a few but it's clear from the other neg reviews that this business has some people that have serious attitude problems and there is no way I can trust making an online order with this kind of hostile environment from the staff.
I read this on their FB page; "We honor our Veterans, both past and present. We strive to continue serving those who served us."
Interesting, how do you know which of your customers are veterans? I'm a veteran. 1988-1992. Desert shield/Desert Storm. So clearly the above statement is a lie.
I learned growing up that every single customer counts and every single customer is why you are paying your bills. When you purposefully lose sales by treating people badly all you are doing is grabbing a wad of cash and tossing it out onto the street. Think about that and let...
