Mad Hatter's — Local services in Bartlett

If you are African American, do not shop here! You are not welcomed—at least that’s what I experienced tonight. I found this place after a quick Google search, seeing it was only a 4-minute drive from my home. Ironically, this business has a sign behind the cash register that reads, "Leave us a 5-star review on Google."

Upon entering at 7:30 PM on a Wednesday night, I was greeted (if you can even call it that) by a very unenthusiastic and unconcerned individual behind the register. While I was initially pleased to see the supplements and herbal displays, things quickly went downhill. When I inquired about a product, the worker responded in a condescending and repulsive manner.

To make matters worse, this person had an incredibly smartass attitude and showed no interest in answering my questions. It felt like they couldn't care less about providing help or even basic courtesy. It’s disheartening to experience this kind of treatment, especially in 2024.

It’s sad and infuriating that businesses like this still fail to provide respect and equality to all their customers. Shane was extremely helpful, attentive, understanding, knowledgeable, and personable. He offers everything you could possibly think of to excel your life experiences.
