I went to get wiper blades in Bastrop, TX location and was glad to see they installed them. A worker by the name of LJ installed my wipers, all the while he was telling me how easy it was. Well about an hour later I put them on because there was a dense fog and my driver's side came completely off and it scared me to death because all the sudden there was medal rubbing up against my glass, I immediately turned them off and pulled over. It was very dark but I saw that the piece was luckily laying underneath the windshield in the gap between window and hood. I like to add these wipers were not cheap either between the two of them they cost over 80 dollars so for that kind of money you would think they could be installed correctly. If it had been raining I would not have been able to drive home as I was 30 minutes from my house. I was not sure if it was negligence on the installer part or the part was defaulted until I went to Oreilly's in Elgin today. The guy that was working came out and put the part on correctly and the wipers worked fine and did not fall off. I just had to put this review out there so that hopefully this worker gets better training, and also so other customers know to check the work of the installers as this could have potentially been...
Read more4 years working with O'Reilly I have spent thousands of dollars and the customer service that they are supposed to offer does not happen here. I do understand there's only so much warranty per item. So you have to purchase the same item again in order for the warranty to work. Counterman Chris told me he would not warranty my belt because it was not a manufacturer defect something else broke the belt. He had first asked me what had happened and I told him possibly the grass was too high I'm not sure I wasn't there. I had recently bought a new deck for my lawn mower so everything is in line and there isn't any issues with the belt busting on pulleys and whatnot. Counterman Chris does not have an ase-certified patch on his arm nor does the manager. The manager is a good man and he does what any manager should back his counterman up at the same time as much money I've spent with O'Reilly Auto Parts. You would figure customer service would kick in and they would take care of me instead I purchased a belt with no warranty even though the receipt says limited lifetime warranty purchased April 27th of this year we're in June 19th this year I am afraid that now I will have to take my business to AutoZone...
Read moreThis was one of the most unprofessional experiences ive ever had at this store. I dont have huge expectations for people who work a normal job to act like im getting served at a 5 star steakhouse. But I was "helped" by Jeremiah, who was watching a football game on his phone on speaker instead of making eye contact with me. I pulled my Optima red top battery up, which ive been diagnosing for weeks to have issues. I came in to get it exchanged, as its under its 3 year warranty. Jeremiah told me that I wasnt paying attention, and that because it was at 12.7 volts, it wasn't a bad battery, and said I needed a new alternator. I build cars as my passion. I dont need to be told whats bad on my car for someone who hasnt even seen it. He called me "bro", obviously not taking me seriously. He refused to exchange my battery, which has left me stranded twice. My Optima brand battery charger and tester even said it wasnt fully operational. This was an awful experience, if you want actual service, drive 30 minutes to any Oreilys in...
