Battle Ground Event Center — Local services in Battle Ground

I wanted to give it a little time after hosting our event at this venue to ensure I’d give a fair review removed from the stress of the event overall. The space is beautiful. The ambiance of the fireplace and overall space is great. Unfortunately, there were things that I’d expect to have ran a lot smoother especially for a venue that costs upwards of $1.5k. Our event was a birthday celebration, unrelated to any holiday (Christmas). It was not communicated that the Christmas tree and decor (nutcrackers galore) within the room space would have to remain in the rented space. Even after expressing to staff how none of the holiday decor went with the birthday decoration at all, they offered zero alternatives. Note- the tree was atop a rolling table, and could be brought down without having to undecorate. When I vocalized my opinion during setup, I would have hoped a real time review would be better accepted rather than to read it online- this wasn’t the case. A staff member was abrasive and unempathetic. The kitchen is convenient. However, it is bone dry with any supplies. Not unusual to have to bring your own disposables, however I would expect pots and pans- pot holders etc. For a venue to have a hard stop time, and zero overnight accommodations for lugged in supplies, I’d expect better accommodations for a kitchen of this size. The AV system was great. However, we could not have been the first party that had a Mac. This is the first venue that offered AV but did not have a connector for a Mac. that I’ve worked with. Overall, the communication and friendliness between staff was underwhelming (with the exception of the managers daughter) and the expectations compared to the cost of the rental rate dampened...

We love going there for lunch. They have it Monday-Friday and it's by donation. Its wonderful to go and meet up with friends and neighbors for a good meal and good conversation. Besides meeting new people. And on Monday they had entertainment too. A very good western group. They usually have two different entries to choose from. Good food and good...
