Main Street Bar — Restaurant in Battle Ground

Just called to see what time they were closing on this Sunday evening. Because we have found most places posted info about closing time is not always accurate. So I asked the female answering the phone what time they were closing tonight.(this site says they close at 2:00)she said she was going to be out of there by 11:00. I said ok and thanks anyways have a good night. Goodbye. She proceeded to loudly say that was rude and hung up the phone. We were making a special trip to try this place out. Because on a Sunday night at 1100 pm there aren't too many places open..we have learned to call first. No big deal. But I can guarantee we won't put this place on our list of places to visit in the future. Too bad too, we spend a lot of money at friendly places we frequent. It gets a 4 star rating and i was there maybe 30 minutes & haven't even tried the food yet! 1st the business sign... It called to me like a giant beacon in the sky boasting that they dupport all things PBR & the name Main Street Bar. That sign is so cool. I ordered a shot pf house tequilla a Pabst Blue Ribbon beer to chase it and sfter the tip it STILL WASN'T TEN BUCKS! aaaand they had options~ draft bottle or can on that beer. Whaat??! Uuuh Bottle. Duh. I would have taken all 3 since I've NEVER had that choice but i was driving. The Hawks were on the tvs. The bartender was super cool. The people were friendly. Its a local bar for sure but not even a little bit clique-y which was perfect. The space is huge, bathrooms clean and BIG windows up front. I've been attempting to go back recently after swearing it off a couple years ago. Its still about the the same. No other place has more wastes potential than Main st. Pool tables, shuffle board, foosball,dance floor,VIP area, booths and bar seating, smoking patio, and yet, usually pretty empty. What does that tell you? Went twice at the end of March 2021. Two different female bartenders; both actually friendly as opposed to a couple of years ago where they had a couple bartenders with the lame bar M.O., bartenders who make you feel like they're doing you a favor and are inconvenienced by your visit. I WANT to go Main st but they dont make you feel like they want anyone other than there cheap beer drinking...
