Food Lion — Local services in Beaufort

Let me tell you why food Lion should deserve 5 stars every time. Every time I've ever gone to food Lion on Lady's Island, SC I've been greeted with people, employees, who are more than eager to please the customer & help out when they're needed w/o having being asked, for anything. They're hard-working, they're trustworthy, & when 1 lane gets backed up, 2 minutes or less later they open another one. I've never had a bad experience here. It's neat, well kept, stocked, & clean - always. Service is 10 Stars & the employees deserve raises -every single one of them -AND- especially management. * I lost my card once & they came out & they helped me look for it through the parking lot & even in my car & I cannot thank them enough for that because I'm pregnant & so weary & stressed at the time [CHK post review date], she saw that & she helped me. Actually two managers did & a gentleman that was straightening up the parking area with the carts helped me too. I can't thank her, all of them enough for their patience with me through it. Never have I ever had such selfless & caring service (nowadays especially) from employees that were more than human..they were family & friends to me in that moment & I'm so appreciative. Shop here! They have the best produce & try the deli's macaroni salad! ...

Yesterday, May 25th around 11:30 I was checking out. There were quite a few “home office” men in the store making changes. They need to have a training session for the check out young people. I realize help is hard to get but a little common sense goes a long way. I was the only person in line and only one check out lane was open. The young lady kept cleaning her plexiglass shield while I was waiting. She should have acknowledged me and said she’d be with me in a moment. I had 2 bags - one an insulated bag with a cold pack and a cloth tote bag. All the cold items were put in the cloth bag. I repacked in front of them after telling them twice to put the cold items in the insulated bag. They made it clear by their expression that I was not welcome. I can understand why people would rather go to Publix and pay a bit more but have...

Another one of the limited number of grocery stores in Beaufort; Food Lion has expanded to having four locations. The two Bi-lo stored were revamped into Food Lions and the existing stores have been given a refresh. The stores look great but are suffering an inventory shortage. The new look has led to a change in products being offered , which is refreshing. They still offer great sales, as well as everyday great prices. 👍update 4/12/22 Inventory has improved .6/2/23 I cannot understand why they never have Fried 🍗 at this Food lion , the PI Gateway store has it every time I go there.
