La Nopalera Restaurant — Restaurant in Beaufort

Let's 1st say, I really appreciate good reviews from everyone who ate here!! That's what brought me jere after driving around for 30 minutes seeing what to eat. They have a decent menu with great selections. When i walked through the door to be seated, I saw the wings someone ordered, and they looked delicious!!! 12 nice size wing cuts for 13.99!! They almost had me with those, but I chose the Fajita Burrito with a side of beans and rice. It was HUGE and good!! ALL THE FOOD CAME OUT HOT!! 🙌🏽 The portions here are big, as stated by other customers. Even the cups you drink out of are huge 🤣. I'm a big guy 6'2 310lbs and I was only able to eat half of the burrito with my rice and beans. This was added to the #2 spot for Mexican restaurants! I need to go back and get more dishes, though, to taste and see about the authenticity. GO...

We love the food here. Yes, it isn’t authentic but the flavor is the best from these types of restaurants we’ve ever been to. The portions are also huge. I would give them 5 stars but unfortunately when we get them to go we often have problems. The first time was perfect. I decided months later to reorder the same thing. I was right all expect for the extra burrito we paid for. Just last night we ordered that same dish again. A burrito and an extra. I thought to have my husband check it before coming home but didn’t. Sure enough it wasn’t even the same dish. We were planning on sharing the food and it wasn’t enough. It’s pretty disappointing. It tasted good but still. I guess the next time I will insist we be those people and check all packages...

We stopped in to La Nopalera last night to grab a bite to eat. It was kind of late, and not many places are open past 9 pm! My husband got the Fajitas Oaxaca, I got the Special Vallarta, and my daughter got 2 steak street tacos with rice & beans. We weren’t super hungry, but it was a RIDICULOUS amount of food!! And by ridiculous, I mean it was enough to feed 10 people, not 3. The server was so friendly and responsive! Our drinks were never even allowed to get half empty before we had refills, and he even got us drinks to go. Oh yeah, and my husband ordered the Monster Margarita, which was the size of 3 margaritas anywhere else, and only cost $15.99.
