Once Upon A Child — Local services in Beaumont

I should’ve read reviews before I sold here. But I dropped clothes off to sell and I have once or twice before and they’ve always called back in a timely manner to let me know they’ve finished looking but today they didn’t. I stuck around the store browsing about a hour or so and purchased an item then left and went to Ross. Well, I had to leave beaumont because it was then 4:00 and I have to get my child off the bus twenty minutes away. I called to check up when I got home... she said she’d call me back and didn’t. They of course are closed. I read on here about a 24 hour drop off limit and I sure hope that wouldn’t apply to me. I came to sell not donate. I’ve NEVER had this problem before. *UPDATEEEEE AFTER I walked into the store this morning AFTER calling them to see if my quote was ready AGAIN and some girl asked me did I leave a one star and I said YES I DID (don’t know what that was supposed to do because clearly you seen my name and you know it was me dear 😒 I’m not going to lie). I never said I had a “PROBLEM” with the quote and I certainly wouldn’t get nasty over the phone. 🤨 I told you I didn’t get a call back and I didn’t! Like I said in the store when I was approached..someone lied and said my voicemail isn’t set up.. I ALWAYS, ALWAYS get voice messages😒. Also, nobody had an attitude with me so why would I get one with you? Smh I’m not a hood rat if you’re looking for a reaction with all the being nasty over the internet. Went 3/10/23 @ 1:30ish to sell some baby clothes and toys that’s been in storage for 2+ years that’ve been forgotten about. Around 7:30PM we got a call to FINALLY pick up ALL of our items due to there being “Bed bugs” in the box. Initially confused because 1. Bed bugs? 2. Then retracted the bed bugs statement because that’s what they were told but didn’t really know? Ok then. They showed us a google image they compared it to….. such a tiny tiny bug and having to show them that it was clearly not a bed bug…. Kind of offensive to make such a wild assumption since it looked nothing of the picture compared to. Honestly, the only part that truly frustrates me most is that even if it was a bed bug, they said we could’ve just washed it and taken it back… disgusting since bed bugs can live through washing machine cycles. Personally wouldn’t recommend buying from there since they knowingly accept clothes with supposed bed bugs even after they’re washed, risky. For all I know everything there has bed bugs…...

It’s sad when a couple can cut all the way from the middle of the line to being second in line. What did the staff do about it? Oh nothing at all! Cut in front of tons of pregnant women that were waiting for over an hour. Ran in the store and both grabbed everything from one rack. Staff could’ve taken the onesie’s and told them they’ll have to wait to check out due to cutting. Instead they walked out with the longest receipt ever and smiling from ear to ear knowing they were being manipulative. 2 years ago this wasn’t allowed! They would limit the number of people inside of the store as well as a man at the door to make sure of no cutting and checking receipts. This will definitely be the last time coming to Beaumonts location. It was pointless for a lot of us to wait in line if we all could just...
