I just left Kohl’s after having a very bad experience. I was being waited on at the cash register by a very pleasant young lady who was trying to scan my coupons and for some reason the rewards were not scanning. she could clearly see the expiration date had not passed it didnt expire until December but for some reason it wasn’t working. She asked the lady next to her for help. This lady kept telling her to scan it again which she did several times. it still would not work so the other lady walked away from her register over to me in my personal space reached in and tried to pull my phone from my hand so she could look at the coupon. She didn’t ask if she could see my phone she just grabbed for it …at which time I backed up because she was directly in my face and her hands weee on my phone almost like she’s trying to pull it from me. I looked at her and said you just can’t walk up and try to pull my phone out of my hand without asking to see it. She stepped back and exclaimed quite loudly the other patrons in line and cashiers heard her say to me, “you stupid!” At that point in time I calmly asked for the manager. The manager handled the coupon situation. And then told me she would take the lady to the back to reprimand her for her actions and for what she said. I hope that she does reprimand her, for no one else should have to go through this. If this lady is the representative of Kohl’s first line customer experience then it is very sad she should not be allowed to be near customers. She is rude, loud, and volatile and it was a very scary situation to have to deal with. Until I am assured that she is no longer a representative of customer service at Kohl’s I will not frequent this...
Read moreKohl's is a great place. It's clean and so was the men's bathroom. I deducted a star for two reasons. First when venturing into the small electronics section and looking at Bluetooth speakers there were many that were displayed on the shelf with no prices and no spots in the display rack. There seemed to be other electronic items haphazardly piled in as tight as could be in random order. All the top shelf mounted displays that let you listen to the quality of selected speakers from altec lancing ihome and others were all inoperable. For some reason they were turned off. Due to this I decided to look elsewhere for a speaker. Secondly in the shoe section it appeared in there defence they were rearranging portions of it. Although I was there several weeks ago and I had the same problem. There were limited displayed shoes and the boxes were all out of order. Many sizes were missing and it seems they do not keep a good selection of shoes in the men's section in relation to sizes. At first I thought they must just sell them quickly but there were not many empty spaces. Boxes were just shoved in any space to fill it, and although they were arranged by style they were all mixed in so it seems limited effort is exerted in arranging them after customers go through them. The staff were nice and the prices were good. We had a 30% off coupon and bought my nephew a pair of shoes and I settled on a pair as the selection in my size was slim. It was a good deal and we got $10 Kohl's cash as well. I hope they do a better job stocking because we almost left without buying anything. Overall it is a good store with great prices and...
Read moreOnce again tried to buy some items in store at the advertised sale price. The emailed ad I received clearly stated a sale price with an additional discount using a supplied code, available for use on line and in store. But as usual, Kohl’s tried to charge me full MSRP price at the checkout. As usual, I had to point out the pricing error and go through the same old rigmarole with the checkout staff to get the price corrected as advertised. On this occasion I was also told that my 20% discount code would automatically correct the price, until I pointed out that 20% off would only create the sale price and not the discounted price on top of the sale price, as advertised. Much huffing later the checkout lady finally agreed with me and “allowed” me to have the advertised price. I wish this was an isolated incident, but it’s a common occurrence for me with Kohls. Exactly the same happened earlier this week at a different Kohls store, as well as on multiple previous occasions. It almost feels like Kohls is deliberately not synchronizing their advertised sales with the in store prices, with the hope that the customer won’t notice. I hope this isn’t the case, but the number of times this has happened to me makes me wary and I now always double check at the checkout, and I am always expecting to have to argue my way through with the checkout staff. The advertised Kohls prices are usually great and the stores are pleasant to shop in. But the repetitive disconnect between ads and the stores badly affects my trust...
