This is a simple hotel to stay in. We stayed here for a family reunion, we had three rooms 115, 133 and 135. The first room was a double bed room the other two are handicapped rooms, with a very spacious bathroom for wheel chair accessibility a pull down bench in the tub. All three of our rooms were pretty clean and didnt really have a smell to them except one that must have been a former smoking room because it had a musty smell upon entering. One of the top blankets had a burn hole in it, but it was a clean blanket probably just an old one. All of our rooms also had a mini fridge, small microwave and a small coffee maker (single serve kind). The only down side is there aren't really any amenities besides free coffee in the lobby. There's no pool, no continental breakfast which kind of sucked because we had kids with us and they were kind of bummed out there wasnt a pool like the hotels we usually stay at. They do have an ice machine in a small room next to the office with a vending machine and a coin operated washer and dryer. The downsides besides the pool and breakfast were they only had one tiny trash can in each room, no bathroom trash can just that one. They also are pretty skimpy about the toiletries they leave. We had two bars of soap and a tiny tube of conditioning shampoo, thank goodness we always bring our own. It is next to a speedway gas station which was convenient and a two minute drive up the road is a Texas roadhouseand a Bob Evans. Five minutes up the road a super Walmart, target and red lobster and a few other places to shop at. All in all it wasnt a bad hotel to stay in for the two nights was were in town for, just don't expect any frills, it's basically a you're just sleeping here for a few nights kind of place. Oh and the staff were pretty...
Read moreTHIS HOTEL WILL NOT REFUND OR CHANGE RESERVATIONS! I am leaving a review based on the service I received in booking my room. We are traveling, it's after midnight, we booked to stop and sleep for the night. Got the reservation confirmation and it's booked for 3pm! I immediately called the hotel and told them it was booked in error. That we need the room now not at 3pm we are traveling. The lady asked for my info and said sorry no refunds on your booking. (I literally called within seconds of the booking) I said well couldnt you just change it for now instead? The lady said sorry you booked 3rd party can't help you. So I called the booking company, they seen what happened, contacted the hotel and yet still... too bad you lose your money but you can book a room for tonight for another room fee! WHAT!? So a supervisor had to get on the call from the booking company and refund me because the hotel was not willing to work with me, the booking company or the supervisor even tho it was in error and they knew it. Thankfully the booking company understands errors happen and they even cover for the slimy hotels they advertise for! It isn't like I was trying to cancel my booking, I was simply trying to get the right time and still give this establishment my money. Never again red roof! I'll pass and sleep somewhere else! I think this "policy" is gross and a terrible thing to do. You are stealing money from people!! I'm not sure I would have enjoyed the stay. Usually it's hotels with issues that have this "policy" in place so people can't get a refund if the room is nasty or...
Read moreOther motels could take a lesson from the Red Roof Inn in Fairborn-Nutter Center when it comes to first impressions. One of the first things I look at when pulling into a motel is how clean are the grounds, and at this motel they are pristine! As I walked my service dog around the grounds and building, there was no trash...just beautifully mowed grass, and lots of it! Great for dogs! At check in, the girl was pleasant and check in was efficient. Upon checking out, Jen was very sweet and friendly. We had a Superior King Room on the first floor. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed linens and towels were clean, white and in excellent condition...nothing shabby here! The bed was very comfortable, and we had a great sleep. There was great water pressure and the water was nice and hot. The TV worked great, and there was a huge variety of channels from which to choose. There was a gas station right next door, which was a plus if you wanted a quick snack. In addition, there were lots of eating places close by. This was a quiet motel with no people lurking around or congregating outside. I felt completely safe, even when taking my service dog out for a late night potty break. This Red Roof Inn had all of the hallmarks I look for when traveling: pristine grounds, very clean rooms, a welcoming staff, and a safe and quiet location. I would definitely...
