Beech Slapped Condo — Local services in Beech Mountain

If you are going to Beech Mountain STAY HERE!! Great location. We were going to the Land of Oz and it is minutes away. The cheapest unit was $79 for a kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, pull out couch, and Queen size bed. Great price for a lot of room. I believe they offer smoking and non-smoking rooms. The employees are lovely. I forgot to print off the land of oz tickets. They printed them off for us with no problem. They also offer laundry for a minimal fee.

The only downside was due to the GPS. And we didnt know that there are condominiums and then the hotel. So it can be confusing and the GPS will put you out at different locations. We were coming in at night, which made it more difficult to find.

However, look for the sign, posted in the pictures. if you are looking for the hotel, find that sign and you are good to go....

Ok overall, I've been talking about staying here since I've been coming to beech, the last 8 years, I finally did stay here and have to say I'm sadly disappointed. I'm all about old mountain themed rooms and cabins, but this place is plane outdated and run down, everything from the laminate peeling off the counters to the 1970's sharp cornered counter tops,which I went out and bought the kid proof rubber corner covers, semi kid proofing tlg to the running board Heaters, whos covers were broken off when we checked in, (so fyi if your coming with a toddler that likes to get into everything. As mine does. Beware, these heaters are not safe if you take your eyes off your little one for 3 seconds)

All the blinds in every room were missing flaps and all need to be replaced....

Beautiful mountain scenery with easy to medium hiking trails. I visited in late Autumn so there were many falling leaves and low temperatures with a good chance of snow (also there were many friendly deer around). Furthermore, the rec center features a pool, hot tub, table tennis, air hockey, and billiards. The room's kitchen provided enough cooking utensils, pots and pans, an electric stove, a microwave, and a coffee pot. As for everything else inside, it had acceptable cleanliness. One issue was the occasional musty smell in some parts which triggered allergies, so be sure to prepare for that if you have allergy issues. Overall, this place was completely...
