I moved to the Ocala area in December 2012. The first time going to Belleview Pizza was with my mother sometime in 2014. We were very impressed with the quality of the pizza, the dough, the toppings, and the sauce cheese, etc. You can tell that they use Top quality ingredients! Growing up with a Sicilian father, and an amazing Sicilian, grandmother, real authentic Italian food from scratch I mean, sauce made from scratch, sausages, made from scratch by my Grandmother, grandfather and my dad. Homemade semolina, bread, pizza, dough, Homemade mozzarella, And ricotta. You could imagine the Italian meals that we had on Sundays.! Naturally, it is hard for us to find a good Italian, pizza, place anywhere we are. That compares to the home-cooked food that I grew up on. Mainly, when we go out, we only have pizza because it’s hard to eat anything else without wishing that we made it at home because we know we could make it better. So with that said, Again, we were very impressed with the pizza. I didn’t realize, that they normally make the pizza with the meatballs, crumbled, and you have to ask for them to slice Regardless, the pizza was excellent! It has been sometime since we had been back for a pizza. My mother moved to South Carolina in 2017 with my brother and his family to be there with grandkids and great grandkids, and I stayed here in Ocala and got an apartment so I could continue running my business. I have tried numerous pizza places in the area as I moved into the city limits in Ocala, and was not impressed with any of them. Formaggio’s was just OK even if you asked them to make it well done. Wise Guys again, The only two in Ocala that I found that were pretty good were Johnny’s, IN THE SHORES, which is where I live now. Over the last few months, we have ordered from a couple of times and we’re just not impressed, and Labella’s Which is also OK, but they are barely ever open. The. the lightbulb on my head lit up tonight after sometime. I decided to pick up a pizza from Belleview Pizza. It’s only 6 1/2 miles from the house. It’s about a 15 minute drive. We ordered a large with sliced meatballs, mushrooms, and Parmesan sprinkled on the pie before they put it in the box and cut it. Well done! Let me tell you! The smell from that box, when the girl handed it to me, was unbelievable! I couldn’t even wait to get home, so I had a slice in the car before I left. All I can say is OMG! What the heck have we been wasting time with these other places for? A 15 minute drive for the best pizza in the area! Well worth it! My promise to you, that we will not buy pizza anywhere else in the Ocala / Belleview area ever again.! Unless we move away! If we do! Lol! You’re in my top four of the best pizza I’ve ever had in Florida! One of the other four is in Stuart, Florida, and the other two are in Fort Lauderdale and Margate, Florida.
Thank you so much for...
Read moreWe always see lines here and decided to give it a go. Thinking it's a one time thing. We both had pizza. Seriously let down. The dough was flavorless and flat. No yeasty smell or taste. The texture was lacking as well. Just plain. I'd compared it to a frozen pizza from the market and it wouldn't taste as good as that. I had the white pizza and hubby had a reg cheese pizza. Little nibble of his and ..meh. My white was so incredibly overpowering with raw garlic it was almost naeusating. I LOVE garlic. Lots of garlic but this was way overdone...and raw. The chicken bits were teeny and very little of it. The ricotta was..basic with nothing to it. We were there at an early dinner time. I think it was 4 or 5 pm. The place filled up fast. With elderly people. Seemed like a favorite for the Senior crowd. For the money spent we could of had a XL pie, with salad and drinks, cooked to perfection at our favorite pizzeria. And that is exactly where our money will go next time. We prefer fresh and authentic. This was main stream low end commercial. Nothing saying Italian here except for the images of Italy on the wall. The bathrooms should have been cleaner as well. The waitress had no desire to be there. The other girls "wandering" around, with no personalities, had no purpose it seemed. Except to ask you the same questions repeatedly. Nah... No reason to overspend for medicore food with the better stuff a short drive farther down the road. Oh..it's also cash only. That always makes me wonder. Everyone prefers cash of course but a restaurant this day and time ..something isn't on the up and up...
Read moreI don’t understand how this place has such good reviews. We have never ordered from here before so I didn’t have a menu so I looked at the pictures on google maps. We ordered a large pizza, calzone, meatball sub and French fries. Our order came out to 60 dollars!! I could’ve went to a restaurant for that price and not a pizza place... I called back after my husband had gotten home because I added up the prices from the pictures on google maps and it was a lot less.. They told me the large cheese pizza was 17.99!! It wasn’t even a specialty pizza it was just a cheese pizza and it wasn’t even very good. My calzone looked like a flat pancake with a little bit of cheese. I’ve never seen a calzone like that. It tasted nothing like a calzone. Also was expensive. Everything was so expensive and didn’t match any of the prices online. The fries were burnt and the meatball sub that cost 12 dollars was small and not worth it. Will never go back to this place again. Not worth the 60 dollars I spent there at all!! If I could give 0...
