Ape Made It Boutique — Local services in Bellevue

I had my future daughter-in law a bridal shower at Ape Made Its Back Room this past Saturday and it was absolutely perfect! The venue is Beautiful! The room is Bright and very roomy! With the room you also get a Desert and Drink cart. She also provides backdrops and arches to use so you don’t have to rent. There is no place I looked at to rent that even came close to The Back Room as far as the beauty of it and all the EXTRAS that it comes with. But to go another step further the room in itself was amazing BUT April who owns Ape Made It and her staff especially Katie who was there to help at our event I can’t say enough about all of them. April is the most welcoming, generous and friendly person I have ever dealt with. I did not know her until I went to her boutique and you would have thought it was someone I have known forever. She is so compassionate about her business and the people that come in to shop/or rent her room. If you are looking for a place to rent for a get together, you will not find a better place than The Back Room. While the venue is gorgeous and a lot of work has been put into it the owner seems to not be actively running the event venue. We booked my bridal shower back in March for August. The venue was somehow double booked (it happens) but she didn’t figure it out until 5 days before our event. And the worst part was she didn’t even figure it out, a vendor figured it out and contacted her.

While she attempted to make it right she did proceeded to be nasty to my mother and speak to her in a nasty manner any time they interacted. We were told we had to move our party up or find a new venue. We were asked to move it from 2-6 to 12-3 and the next people would be in at 4. At 3:10 the next group starts coming in and the owner proceeded to be nasty to my mother about how she knew she had to be out at 3. So she wanted what was originally supposed to be a 4 hour event to now to be 2 hours or less. she knew I drove 5 hours for this. I’m incredibly disappointed in this venue and its owner and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Because if a friend decides they want the venue she won’t hesitate to screw you over. I hosted my daughter’s baby shower there in March 2024. Everything was perfect! The boutique owner went above and beyond to make sure all of our wants/needs were met! She was gracious enough to even let us borrow a piece of furniture from her store to use as a prop at the shower. The room provided the perfect space for the shower of my daughter’s dreams!! Several guests have since booked the venue for their events. She has a balloon arch and several other props including a champagne cart, dessert cart, various signs etc. that she allows you to use at no additional charge!! Definitely a hidden gem.
