The Darkness is my go-to for fun places to go out. We live in the area and the decision to live here was in no small part due to the awesome small business experiences we've had at the Darkness and many other fantastic local establishments. The Darkness has great food, great drinks, and an awesome atmosphere to booy. Both indoor and outdoor seating, fast and friendly service, prices that are surprisingly low for the quality, and they're always puttng new and interesting things on the menu (along with the classics) to keep the experience fresh. Great for a meetup with friends, coworkers, family etc. - or maybe just a quick date with the spouse/significant other. Many people will bring their dogs along for outdoor areas, and I've brought my toddler along with me countless times. Pick a board game from the shelf, watch a movie on the tv, listen to some solid tunes, and take a stroll through the art gallery! If you're looking for a fun place to enjoy life for a few hours,...
Read moreLocated just a few blocks from 471 and in the heart of the Bellevue shop and restaurant area, Darkness brewing is a great place to stop in and try some really really good beers. Their Mayan Sacrifice is an absolutely amazing brew. Creamy, smooth, chocolatey and very refreshing. Be careful though the ABV will sneak up on you. My wife swears it takes like coffee, but I'm not a fan of coffee and I love this beer. I also highly recommend the Man on the Moo. It's light enough to enjoy in the summer but it's an incredible fall beer. Awesome patio to enjoy in the warmer months. A food truck that I haven't tried yet but it smelled incredible. Just enough indoor seating to make it worth your time to stop in year round and see what's on the tap list. Whether you are touring local breweries, meeting friends for a drink, shopping along the avenue or heading out for dinner and drinks, Darkness Brewing should be a...
Read moreMayan Sacrifice has been my husbands favorite beer for a while now, and when we found out it was only a short drive away we had to go! Small, cozy, and great atmosphere. There was a costume party (I think) in the stage area, an artist painting in the main area, and a food truck in the outdoor seating area. It was hard to pick a place to sit! The service was great, very nice staff, very helpful with picking a selection of drinks to a picky drinker. The food was amazing, the best onion rings I’ve ever had and I can only say that once and I say that with confidence. I was surprised when I saw it was a red onion in there. Drink selection is good for any type of beer drinker, I loved Marigold and Han Rolo and of course Mayan Sacrifice. Will definitely go back again, love the historic area and small inviting feel of...
