TL;DR No vegan options due to family drama and two businesses having the same name.
I’m giving this specific location only 1 star because they are not actually affiliated with the Piroshky Piroshky located in Pike Place market other than the fact that they spun off from the original, have them same name, and are owned by family members of the original. All of this might be perfectly fine for most people, but this business/location in Bellevue does not have the vegan options that are listed on the Piroshky Piroshky website. The main site clearly lists a VEGAN Mushroom Potato Piroshky, a Chipotle Vegan Piroshky, and that the Borscht is vegan.
It’s it’s pretty hard to tell (especially for someone just visiting the Seattle area) that the location in Bellevue is different because it comes up on Google maps when you search for Piroshky Piroshky.
Anyways, I drove over there hoping to get some tasty savory vegan pastries but then they didn’t have any snd acted like I was crazy for thinking they did. I emailed the customer service address listed on the site and they explained the situation. I should have gone to one of the downtown locations. Now I know, and I’m writing this review for any other vegans out there who...

Smoked Salmon cream cheese: I guess I wasn't sure what to expect but I was expecting smoked salmon bits inside the pastry instead of a salmon paste mixed with cream cheese and some dill. The filling to pastry ratio wasn't really well balanced and was heavier on the bread side. For the price I think there should be more and better quality filling. I also wasn't impressed with the temperature of the pastry, it was lukewarm--which I didn't like since the filling was essentially salmon goop. I would have much preferred it to be hot, but that wasn't presented to me as an option. The pastry shape...
Read moreI used to get borscht here all the time (early2000’s) but it’s been a very long time. Happen to be at Crossroads and got some borscht and a potato onion piroshky. The piroshky was nice but I think just slightly underbaked. The borscht was terrible. It looked great. Lots of beets and a beautiful color but it tasted so bad I couldn’t eat it. It had no beet flavor at all, an awful aftertaste. I tried adding a bit of ketchup, vinegar and salt but it didn’t help. I’m not sure what it tasted like but even the bad borscht I’ve had was better than this. I dumped it after trying 2 more doctored up bites. I’m not sure if the same people are running this but they need to taste their...
