Katie and Sophia's Place saved my life. Due to an illness, I wasn't able to work, became homeless, and lived in my vehicle for a short time. Again, I will say, that Katie and Sophia's Place saved my life. There's a stigma that goes along with being homeless... no matter what circumstance brought you there society judges the homeless. The day you meet Katie you will never be the same. Her empathy, patience, and genuine respect she has for clients, in my opinion, can't be taught. With her amazing Jesus-filled spirit, I never felt judged. This meant so much to me because I had never been in a situation where I wasn't able to provide a roof over my head. I saw clients who did not appreciate Katie or Sophia's Place, and just complained, not realizing how blessed they were to have a warm, clean, and nourishing place to stay - the support needed to get back on their feet.
