If I could give them a zero stars I would. I was having problems with my AirPods back in March and it was under warranty so they were like okay cool it’ll take about 2 weeks so once their here and ready we will give you a call. Waite two months and was calling them everyday trying to see if they were ready. Nobody would ever answer, I tried different times of the day. Finally I just went in and was like hi I want to know if my AirPods are ready and they go back and get my my AirPods. I’m like okay cool, I gave the benefit of the doubt the first time and was like it’s okay COVID-19 happened so whatever. I take them back home and literally I just got the actual AirPods replaced and the case stopped working. Take it back and I’m like uhhh hi me again my case isn’t working now. Their like did you try pairing it, I’m like yes I tried every possible thing, it’s broken. So they tell me their going to send it back and probably just get a brand new case. I waited a month. Same thing nobody will answer my calls and when I text them they won’t respond. Finally I get ahold of them and their giving me all this attitude saying they called and it’s not their job to call multiple times. I call Apple and their like sorry it’s not under warranty anymore. During that MONTH that city Mac had my AirPods my warranty ended. So I still haven’t gotten my AirPods back. I don’t even know if their fixed! Their a scam and their customer service is whack. And then on top of that I took my iPad that had a battery problem to them because it wouldn’t turn on. Their quoting me $500 dollars to replace the battery and I’m like hmmm the iPad cost $750 and their trying to charge me $500? I call Apple and their like oh no to get a whole new battery is $100, Apple was confused where they got that quote from. I send my iPad into Apple and $100 later my iPad is brand new fixed. Had I agreed with city Mac, I would’ve paid $500 not knowing that their trying to scam me. And when I confronted them about the extra charge their like sorry but we need to see the broken product to know why we quoted you that much and I’m like it’s fixed now and their like well that’s good. Most unprofessional place I’ve...
Read moreSee ending to understand why I changed my review... Sorry to have to write a negative review. I am not a Troll and rarely do this. For years my friends, family and I have complained to each other that this company has such a big presence in Bellingham. We have all joked about how poorly we were treated by teenagers who seemed on a mission to make us "old folks" feel like we are techno idiots. Poor communication skills have included answers to simple questions like "when will my computer be done?" with "I don't know" or "later". Seriously, THE WORST customer relations I have ever been privy to. How they stay successful is the subject of much discussion amongst our group of friends and Apple owners. I most recently finally after years of avoidance went in to have my 2004 top of the line MacBook Pro updated to the latest apple Operating System. Since I put my psychic armor on in preparation for dealing with what I knew would be, at best, the condescending attitude of a "customer service representative" who probably still speaks in pre-teen falsetto, I was unsurprised, though still disappointed to find myself face to face with Mr. Pre-teen Grumpy Pants. Not one smile. Not one answer that had more than one word in it. As a result, I am also unsurprised that now I am faced with a whirlwind of problems including the fact that my very expensive Microsoft Office program is now worthless as it is incompatible with my new OS. In conclusion, I very rarely, almost never write to vent my anger about local businesses, but years of bad customer service and neglect have built within me to the point of eruption. Shame on you TD Curran for taking advantage of the poor Bellinghamsters who have no choice since there is no Apple Store nearby and shame on me for giving you my business. Never again.
Addendum: After giving the review above- I was contacted by Bill Molnar to discuss it. I was impressed but the fact that he reached out to me and seemed to care about the way his customers are treated. I plan to give the store another chance- likely soon- as we plan to purchase a new Macbook Pro. I remain cautiously optimistic at this point. I will let you know...

Issues: Customer support, over-charging
I brought my MacBook in to get a battery replaced and was quoted $619.57; $399.99 for "Top Case with Battery," and $169.99 for "Flat Rate Hardware Service." I completely understand the service fee for the labor costs, but I was slightly confused about why the top case of the MacBook needed to be replaced alongside the battery if the only issue that I was experiencing was with the battery. I called up My Apple for customer support and talked through my issue with an Apple Advisor. After explaining the issue and talking through the costs of the repair, the advisor said that it should not cost a total of $619.57. They said it was weird CityMac was requiring the top case to be fixed alongside the battery and told me to give CityMac a call to explain why. I called CityMac back and was promptly put on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on. After calling back again, a man named Kevin tried to back track and say they accidentally misquoted me and will be reducing the price to what it originally should be. I asked to talk with the Kaleb, the technician who had quoted the $619.57 total but he had conveniently went on break just as I had called.
I gave My Apple a call back after this and filed a complaint for the store with a senior advisor. I will no longer be going to this store for repairs and will only go directly to apple to get something done. Awful experience, and no apologies from staff other than saying the over-charge was due to a new staff...
