Birrieria Tijuana — Restaurant in Bellingham

Human Biohazard Health Concern. Bellingham, WA Location. The shorter female w/dreadlocks is the one who took our order. While she was taking our order she was constantly touching her face, itching her scalp/hair, coughed into her hand, and was on her phone texting the entire time. She DID NOT wash her hands or even excuse herself; and immediately after, she continued to refill all the salsas and touched all the serving spoons. She then continued to serve food to guests with her dirty hands. The restaurants atmosphere was extremely uncomfortable. There was extremely loud club music being played and the music would skip every time the server disappeared from the front of house. We decided to request our food to go and when I walked up to the counter the same girl was biting her finger nails behind the front counter. I asked for her attention and rolled her eyes and turn around until she was done biting her nail. I’ve never been so disgusted while visiting a restaurant before that I shared this experience with friends and colleagues, and the ones who visited this restaurant shared very similar concerning experiences over a few months timeframe. I don’t know how this individual was hired or why this hasn’t been resolved internally; however, I would not advise that anyone eat Birrieria Tijuana in Bellingham WA as these issues seem to stem from...

I had high hopes for this place but it was a big disappointment. Granted I only ordered the carne asada fries, but they were very mediocre and the portion was ridiculously small for $16! I did a to go order and the second I picked up the bag I knew they were going to be a disappointment. Anyone who has had a good order of carne asada knows there’s a good weight to them. The flavor wasn’t terrible, but oddly enough there was more pico de gallo than French fries. You’d think the one thing they wouldn’t scrimp on is the French fries. Only a small dollop of guacamole and the meat was chewy. Speaking of fries, you could tell the French fries were frozen Ore Ida type crinkle cut fries. This was a huge testament on the rest of their food because how hard is it put together carne asada fries? I placed my order a little bit before 7PM on today, October 18th. I specified in your time selector that I would be picking it up at 8:15 and it tells me great, your order is confirmed for 8:15. I pick up the order and the very nice worker at the cashier apologizes and says it has been sitting for a bit. I took that to mean it's been sitting for a few minutes even though I arrived at 8:07 to pick up my order, 8 minutes ahead of schedule. I get home and it is cold, I suspect that they had made it when the order came in over an hour before and it had been sitting ever since. I've been to your establishment and have loved the service, but this has left a sour taste in my mouth for an order that cost $45 after tip for cold food. I am requesting compensation for this order.
