There's a Goodwill training center at this location. And some classes, if not all of the classes, are free of charge. And if you're injured like I was, depending on you're situation, you can be retrained in another proffession , pretty much for free, get retrained in the proffession of your choosing, then continue working and providing an income for your family, or take some pre-collegic classes to further your career. This Goodwill Education Center, maybe the change you need to positively give you the change you need to improve your life, and start you in the right direction where you can start providing for your family again. Read moreSunset Square, located just west of Interstate 5 (also known as I-5) on Sunset Drive, is a fabulous 2-sided one-stop shopping center with ample parking no matter what time of year. On one side is Safeway grocery store, Rite Aid drug store, Harbor Freight hardware store, Comcast store, and Roundtable Pizza at the far end, with a smattering of smaller endeavors tucked in between. There's a BBQ subway sandwich shop, another one offers great Chinese food, there is a game store, Vision Plus, beauty supply, mailing and shipping service store - and that's just the front side! Walking through to the back, there is a beauty salon, a nail salon, El Gatano Mexican restaurant. Backside of this outdoor mall is Joanne's fabric store, a separate shop selling and repairing sewing machines and supplies, OfficeMax, the Goodwill, and the newest addition to Bellingham, WA is At 🏠 Home, which makes me feel like a kid in a candy store whenever I wander in. They have incredibly affordable prices, and offer anything you can think of for your home, other than appliances. But they do offer smaller pieces of furniture like patio sets, creative ottomans, bookshelves, side tables, benches, decorative pillows, curtains, rugs, blankets, lamps, candles, pictures, etc, etc. You have to go see for yourself how fantastically marvelous this shopping center is! Oh, and one thing else I must add. On the front side of Sunset shopping center, near Roundtable Pizza is one or two empty storefronts. Every year, for the last few years, See's Candies moves in for the holidays, selling some of the best chocolate you'll find anywhere (except there is competition just up the road and they are local). But there are some who are committed to See's, and for good reason, and I am pleased to see them...
Read moreAnother mini mall that almost failed although this one seems to be hanging in there somehow. Theyve got there staple businesses like the grocery store and goodwill along with harbor freight and i think round table pizza is still there. Taco bell(usually has a ridiculous drive thru line), a vacant bank, a few vacant store fronts, game stop(no they dont have any PS5's), a smoke shop, a laundry mat(usually open til 1 or 2am), sunset postal store, nail salon, tmobile, rite aid, a great big ol parking lot and a fair amount of homeless people and tweekers but not too many. Careful with the safeway shopping carts if you get to far from the store the wheels will lock up and send you face first into the basket with whatever groceries you just overpayed for and its usually busy enough that plenty of people will get the chance to fall over laughing at...
