The WORST experience ever. When I went in today, my intention was simply to return a pair of clearance shoes, which were not marked as āfinal saleā at the time of purchase, neither on the signage, the item itself, nor on the receipt. However, the associate we dealt with handled the situation with an unprofessional and hostile attitude that left us shocked.
When we tried to explain that the item wasnāt labeled final sale, we were repeatedly cut off and told it was āpolicyā without any effort to clarify or help us understand. We even looked up the policy on Aldoās website, which clearly states āitems marked as final sale are not eligible for return or exchanges.ā To be clear again, our item was NOT marked final sale. We simply wanted clarity, not confrontation.
When asked if she could show us on the website where it indicated in the policy where clearance items canāt be returned, since we couldnāt locate it and she insisted for us to look on the website, she refused. Her actions were clearly not in policy. We kindly asked if we could speak to someone else and she refused to let us speak to another team member, the associate became visibly frustrated, accused us of āarguing,ā and eventually walked away yelling āCALL CUSTOMER SERVICE!!ā in an aggressive tone. Before walking out, I calmly asked for her name to include in our complaint, she refused to provide it. She had dark hair, but unfortunately, we couldnāt get any further identifying information.
To make matters worse, the entire exchange happened in front of other customers, which was extremely embarrassing. I am not a confrontational person, and I approached the situation with kindness and patience. Unfortunately, I was met with rudeness, unwillingness to help, and complete disregard for customer care.
This was honestly the worst customer service experience Iāve ever had. We are long-time customers who have always trusted Aldo for special events in our lives, but this incident has left us questioning whether we want to continue supporting the brand.
I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, especially when they are trying to resolve a situation calmly...

The girl searched high and low to find this shoe and finally came out to tell me that she can't sell the boots to me because "the other one is damaged", - supposedly on the front seam of the boot. However, she wouldn't bring it out for me to see the "damage". I told her it was ok, I won't buy them but I want to try them on together for size fit, so I can get them online. She left and came back with her manager and the manager repeated to me that I can't try them on because they are "damaged". So, my guess, is they never found the other boot and made up a story about it being damaged so they don't have to keep looking for it. Also, the place is a MESS! Random boxes of shoes are all over the place that don't correspond to the shoes on display. Both of the women working there this evening came off as lazy employees.
