A Fun Find
In the past three months, I have been on an antique shopping quest. Just in St. Louis alone, I found three antique stores that I missed when I visited the city three years ago. And now, during my return to Kansas City, to my delight, I have discovered several new stores. One of those delights is 816 Vintage in Belton, MO. This store was a gem of a find. Although small, it packs a lot, tastefully, in every nook and cranny. The big kick for me was to find such great mid-century pieces of furniture to choose from. If I had a larger house, trust me, I would have walked away with more than the three items I purchased; a side board, wall décor and a clock. Brad, owner/manager, was very nice and allowed me to buzz around the store like a bee out of a hive. Later, after taking my purchases home, I found the clock to be defective. When I explained to Brad what had happened, he was willing to exchange the item without any difficulty. In fact, when I pulled up to the store, he met me at my truck with the new item to exchange. Now that’s what I call customer service! Overall: 816 Vintage is definitely one store that needs to be placed on your “must visit” antique...
