I got a to-go order for 6 people. I walk inside grab my food and walk back out to my car to check the bags. I notice there is one 6oz salsa and one bag of chips. That’s it. Mind you 6 people and it being covid that is clearly not enough chips or salsa and we shouldn’t be forced to share a container. I politely walk back inside to ask for a few more 6oz containers and 2 additional bags of chips. Alejandra then continues to tell me she provided me with 6 1oz containers and that was plenty. I continued to try to explain to her that these were not provided. (Which idk anyone that can eat chips and salsa with 1oz portion of salsa) So she continues to argue with me back and forth that she put them in my bag. I wasn’t rude to begin with I just asked for some extra salsa. NEVER in my life have I been so harassed over some extra salsa. So after arguing with her for 5 min she brings me out 6 1 oz containers of salsa and said if she gave me anymore she would have to charge me for it. Then only gives me a small bag of chips to go with it. She was so rude and has no customer service skills. I will be telling everyone I know how unprofessional this establishment is and how they are not practicing regulations for Covid-19 by practically refusing to give me individual portions for anything. Also THEY GAVE ME MY FOOD ON PAPER PLATES. I mean literally cheap regular paper plates from the grocery store. No boxes. Everything was soggy and cold. Will not ever be returning. Please don’t let this happen to you and them take advantage of you during an epidemic. SAFE...
Read moreMe and my husband go here pretty frequently bc it’s the only Mexican restaurant in town and the owner seemed quite friendly. However, today was the reason that we no longer are going to be coming back. We ordered and ate and had good service and then once we left the waiter tipped himself 20% more than what we had signed for. Putting cash in his pocket, seemingly after the owner had left. The owner did not seem to be aware of the situation and once we drove back the waiter seemed nervous about our return and let us know the manager would be coming back shortly. We explained the situation and how it made us upset and not trust the business anymore that we frequent so often and his response was to look into any unknown additional fees that may be charged to the card? But what fees would equal exactly 20% more in a tip? Not to mention our bank tells us there are no fees applied to the transaction. After explaining this to him he seemed at a loss for words. Especially seeing as he is a business man he would know by now if something were being charged additionally to certain cards before processing by now and would have been able to warn us beforehand. I am not upset with the owner as we could tell his reaction was genuine and he was trying to cover his businesses ass, but I do not trust and will not be returning to this business again. Also, the amount processing in their system changed from the amount on our bank transactions after we had returned and spoken to the waiter who seemed anxious like he went back in and corrected it before his boss...
Read moreMy overall experience with Casa Mexico was pretty good, however there is definitely room for some improvements...The chips that came in a basket, were cooked in an oil that tasted old and burnt, old cooking oil is not good. Myself and my dining companions could smell the old burnt cooking oil as we walked into the restaurant, however when we brought it to their attention, they did fix the problem immediately, but I think they should have been more on top of this situation and change the cooking oil more frequently before a customer dissatisfaction and complaints occurred. I had chicken chimichanga and chilli relleno combination, it was pretty tasty, although the portions seemed small, it was satisfactory and I did enjoy my meal and the rice and beans were delicious. However the salsa they serve is just mediocre, I've had much better. I think they should use larger fresher ingredients and add cilantro to their salsa, would improve it greatly! We had a Latina server, she was very efficient however not very engaging or very friendly, just all business. We mentioned to our server that this was our first time to Casa Mexico, and I think she could have been a little bit more engaging and welcoming to us. She did a very good job at table service, however it's really nice to have a server that is a bit more engaging, friendlier and welcoming than she was. In summary, I enjoyed my food at Casa Mexico but overall I wasn't "wowed" by this restaurant. I may come...
