As a resident of the UK I came across Bemidji Woollen Mills garments by chance after many years of wearing a well known brand from Seattle.
I have to say I'm a convert to Bemidji, the quality of the cloth is exceptional and the 100 year heritage is written deep into each garments DNA.
This is clear when you wear one, the level of warmth, style and detailed workmanship is second to none.
My only real grumble is we can only mail order them here in the UK and the shipping costs mean they still work out as great value.
The online customer service is efficient, the products are great and as a family company they stand by these values.
The last remaining mills and maker in Minnesota !
After my first purchase of a Voyageurs JAC shirt I made a second order of a Paul Bunyan shirt, this was a special order in a different cloth with double button pockets.

Read moreI wanted to buy one of their jackets online but there is no sizing guide on their site so I emailed them and got no response. After a couple of days I figured I would just give them a call instead. I called multiple times throughout the day and got no answer and was unable to leave any sort of message as it said their mailbox was full. I want to give them my money but it's not possible if I can't reach them and that does not bode well if I were to have any issues with my purchase as I would not be able to contact them 😔
Edit: was able to get a hold of Bill using the number he left in his response and he was very knowledgeable and helpful in figuring out what size I would need. Perhaps I just caught them at a bad time I'm not sure. Hopefully they can improve the information on their site to provide some sizing guidance and finnthe necessary staff to ensure reasonable response times...

I sent an email asking the status, received no response. A couple days later I called and left a message, received no response. Finally, I emailed the president who must have directed one of his minions to get in contact with me because I finally got an answer that they had NO IDEA why I had not received my order, they must have FORGOT!
