I literally visited 3 Walmart stores at totally opposite ends of the city in 2 days. The customer service personnel at 2 of the stores were polite but very quick to tell how they could not help me. And, when I tried to inform them that I came to their store because of what was online search result and maybe they would want to correct the information online. That didn't happen. However, the 3rd store, the Bensalem store, was the experience you should have at any store of any kind. Fast, efficient, professional yet engaging customer service that was not rushed, chaotic, negative, fake, dismissive nor pressuring you (the customer) to sign up for something they didn't ask for nor taking out their bad day on the person that is in front of them. Everybody deserves grace for having a bad day and not at their best when you step into their space. But, in most cases today, customer service reps behave like they don't give a damn if you don't like the way they treat you because they have another job waiting for them. Being under any form of duress or being forced to jump through hoops for unruly customers is not what I'm suggesting either. I feel that nobody knows what type of day anyone is having and most decent people are not coming to a store to take out their anger on customer service workers. So, I hope that whatever climate they have created at the Bensalem store that has their employees being able to authentically put out positive energy and a positive atmosphere in that particular store that can be a standard in all Walmart stores and also all businesses where they must interact with the public. In the short-term, being able to not care about anyone else's whatever as long as it doesn't effect you personally. But, long term not being able to admit a mistake, empathize with someone else's difficulty in the moment, or just being selfless and even using 'manner's even if you don't get the meaning, will eventually make it harder to celebrate people that do their job in a way that makes you want to come back to their place of business. If you're not in a customer-based business it won't really matter, I assume. But, if your business model is consumer related you should care a little about the impression you leave your customers with. I also wanted to be sure to add that the Bensalem store was very clean, tidy, things were where they should be, the shelves were fully stocked and being stocked. And, the other customers were respectful of each other. That shouldn't be an aberration, but it really is and that's...
Read moreMan I don't know what's the deal with some of these Walmart Workers, where when I go into shop, early in the morning 6 on the dot, because I have to get back to take my kids to school, one who is autistic, and I have to watch over my mother due to physical and mental illness, so me getting in and out is greatly beneficial to me with no drama, and not being agitated or provoked, but as of late, I get dirty looks and snarky, arrogant, attitudes when I ask for certain items or shopping in electronics. Today I waited over 40 mins for a rep to serve me in electronics, because they said they didn't have the keys and schedules are off and the rep will be in at 7am, so I shopped, patiently waited to 7 and they never came and I waited another 20 mins then a lady and guy showed up the guy acted as if he didn't want anything to do with me and the lady just ask what do you want in a arrogant tone, me politely, asking a question about a product, got her mildly rolling her eyes at me and giving me snarky attitudes, as soon as she came to serve me; especially when I asked if they Price match. Why the attitude? I just asked a simple question, politely, and respectfully as I could, I know I'm more on the rugged looking side, but that's me, only God can judge me, I'm paying Money for items what's the real problem? Then I had a guy before this, I guess worked there, ask me what exactly I'm looking for in electronics, and I told him, then he tells me he doesn't have the key to the case, just wanted to know what I wanted lol then he proceeds to say Well ok then, then states, they only trust me with the "GUNS" smh Ok sir...I only use my fist I said lol and I didn't ask what your job description is here either lol maybe some form of intimidating tactic I don't know. I kind of thought it was a funny exchange, but some of these workers need an attitude adjustment. It's frustrating already dealing with life and just wanting to escape real quick to purchase something from a store and it feeling like you are being discriminated against or judged. WAL-MART WORKERS NOT EVERYONE IS COMING TO STEAL CARTS FULL OF ITEMS AND THATS NOT AN EXCUSE TO USE TO ACT SHALLOW ARROGANT RUDE OR DISRESPECTFUL...
Read moreI saw an item online and it said that they had 5 left so I visited that location, I looked for the item and couldn't find the one I saw online so I went to customer service because there wasn't anyone in the department where I was to help me, I asked if they can look up the item for me and they told me that they couldn't look it up... I said... this is customer service, you can't look up an item to tell me if you have it in stock? They said no and told me to go to that department and ask whoever's working in that department for help, I told them that I was just there & nobody was working, so they called somebody to that department and I met him there. So I asked him to look it up & he told me he can't that he would be looking at the same thing as me... the Walmart website. What? Are you serious? 20 years ago I worked at a toys r us and was able to tell you anything that was in stock or if it was at another store! Walmart doesn't have the technology that... at least to my knowledge has been around for 20 years? Pure laziness! These people will do anything to do nothing! And it doesn't stop there... I settled for a different item and asked for some help, the man in that department gave me a flatbed , helped me load it and sent me on my way... his department has a register, why couldn't I pay for it with him? I instead had to push this huge flatbed through the store to a register and pay for it. I asked the girl there if she could call someone to help me load it in my truck, she said to go to customer service and ask because she can't... ok? So I went to customer service and asked for help and she pointed at some guy, I asked him and he nodded his head in a yes motion and walked away. Finally the girl who pointed out the 1st guy found someone else to help me. If people just cared enough to do there job this could have been a smooth transaction & I could have been in & out but it was...
