Matt is the best! My dogs owe their lives to him!!! After working with Matt for 12 sessions, our golden retriever walks off leash and we added a puppy to our family and enrolled him in Matt’s Perfect Puppy Course. While on a walk one day, we were crossing the street and a driver seemingly did not notice us and came close enough for me to reach my hand out and hit the car. Sandy stayed in her “heel” command and Ripple remained perfectly by my side on leash. All three of us made it safely across the street because of Matt’s training. He makes it easy. If you’re willing to do the work, he will give you the tools for a wonderful, balanced dog. He is a true dog lover and understands how dogs learn. His program is systematic and after just one session, our older dog was so much more settled, confident and responsive. After working with Matt for a few months, Sandy is now a certified therapy dog who assists me when tutoring children. Working with him and our new puppy, Ripple has been amazing. Ripple has been the easiest puppy to train because of the tools Matt has given our family. He never pulls on the leash, is a respectful puppy and when house training, he had less than five accidents in the house total. Ripple is now 8 months old and behaves as well as (if not better) than Sandy, our three year old Golden. Do yourself a favor and hire Matt, do the work and enjoy being...
Read moreMatt is not only an amazing dog trainer but an amazing person! My 18 month old, 175 lbs Saint Bernard, Loki, quickly realized he could use his size against me to get whatever he wanted. Whether it be food, leading and dictating walks or pulling me down the street to get to another dog due to extreme dog reactivity. Matt first off opened my eyes to the root of the issues, that as an owner it's my responsibility to make my dog feel safe, secure, and that I could communicate and advocate for him when needed, and from there we took off. I was extremely skeptical of e-collar and prong collar training because of the negative stereotype around these extremely HELPFUL training devices. Matt taught both myself and Loki that if used properly these tools can be awesome, especially for a tank like Loki. I could go on and on about all of the wonderful things Matt tought us both, but all I'll say if you're looking for a dog trainer who wants nothing but the best for your dog and yourself, this is your sign and Matt is your guy. Thanks to Rightway K9 training, myself and Loki can finally get back to our hikes, and have the beautiful life filled with adventure that we've always dreamed of. 100000000000/10 Forever will recommend Rightway K9...
Read moreMatt is a miracle worker. He has genuinely done so much to help our family. As someone who did not grow up with dogs and had to come a longer way than most, he was always patient with me and validated my viewpoint while also teaching me about the animal’s. As a dog instructor, he is incredibly thoughtful and intentional with his training. He is so great at explaining the “Why”. In a sense, he is not just giving us fish, he is teaching us to catch them. The lessons are applicable and easy to carry over in other situations. Much like parenting children, he consistently preaches that structure leads to a happier dynamic for all parties. His methods aren’t for Instagram likes, they are for effectiveness and happier animals. Second, he genuinely loves animals. He cares about your dog as much as you do. He was always available via text for questions, and there for support when that is needed sometimes as a parent. Even though we no longer have the pleasure of living in Cleveland, he will still hop on a Zoom call with us to address any issues that come up. As always, the solutions are well thought-out and results quickly follow. We can’t say enough great things about...
