From start to finish, our experience at Ruby Rugs was fantastic. Since the store opened on Solano Avenue a year or so ago, we have often stopped to look through the glass to admire the incredible selection of high quality rugs on exhibit in the beautiful display space. When we finally got serious, and actually entered the store, we were even more impressed at the quality of the materials and the workmanship in their carpets, and at the wide selection of both traditional and modern designs. The 100% silk carpets were particularly stunning. Although we made no commitment to purchase anything, Abi, the owner, offered to bring a selection of rugs to our home so we could see how they would work in different rooms. The results of this visit surprised us and we were able to find three rugs that completely transformed the rooms we placed them in. We expected to focus on traditional patterns, but wound up with a gorgeous modern design for our bedroom, and an amazing traditional carpet for the more formal area of the house. We noticed a new rug store on Solano Avenue last weekend and wandered in to Ruby Rugs. Replacing our living room rug had been on our to-do list for some time, but the looking process seemed daunting. Husret was knowledgeable and helpful. He showed us many carpets of the size and type were interested in. Then he suggested that we make an appointment for him to bring our favorites to our home, with no obligation to buy.

Husret and Zerevan came to our home at the appointed time. They were professional and patient as we looked at 10 or 12 different rugs. Since we know little about rugs (other than what we like), we appreciated their expertise in explaining the provenance of each.

I recently purchased a new beautiful rug from Abi at the newly opened Ruby Rugs. They have a beautiful selection of rugs and the customer service was unprecedented. While it is easy to select a rug in a large shop that you like, you never know how it will look in your room with your furniture until you put it there. I had about 6 favorites, and Abi selected a couple more, then he brought them all to my home to look at- no strings attached. We moved the furniture and tried out each rug. Some of my favorites did not look as good in the room as I had hoped, and the one I picked looked fantastic. This was an excellent service to have when you are paying so much for a quality rug. He was very friendly, knowledgable, and very fair with the price. I don't think I'd ever buy a rug again without looking at it in the room. I will go back if I ever need...
