Ormsby's Computer Systems — Local services in Berlin

Note: this is a July 24, 2023 UPDATE to an earlier review I wrote a few years ago:

After my partner, Michael, bought an HP computer a few years ago from Mike at Ormsby and I wrote up this review, I want to add a CURRENT UPDATE so the readers know that the quality and trustworthiness of Ormsby is STILL 100% brilliant and intact.

So here is my part 2 of original positive review!! Read on!!

About 5 months ago, my Apple MacBook Pro of 10 years service officially started to die on me, I reached out to Mike (given my great memory of his help to Michael). I initially had bought a replacement MacBook Pro but the service at the Apple Store in the Greater DC area was SO GOD-AWFUL that I literally returned the computer and got my money back. I felt worse than being served by inhuman robots. The Apple Store staff are all so "cool" and "hip" and quite unhelpful at best (or useless at worst).

So, I then called Mike in Vermont and explained to him my sadness of not having an Apple laptop anymore but that I trusted him to advice me on what I needed as my replacement computer...and told him my partner, Michael, was TOTALLY satisfied with the HP computer that Mike sold him a few years back.

Mike, as usual, did not push any personal agenda of his or his firm's. He listened to ME. Wow!! He and I then moved on and discussed WHAT I WOULD USE THE COMPUTER FOR. Wow!!

He then walked me through a number of options and, after I picked a few, he summarized it in a draft invoice by product type. By the way, Mike is the type who researches topic if he feels he doesn't know the answer. He is a self-confident manager and tech expert.

Well, to make a long story short, I went last week to pick up my HP computer which he and his colleague Glenn had set up for me prior to pick up and then when I brought my old Apple to them along with all my data on a USB stick, they happily transferred all the data and then did a test run of the computer to show me how to use it from start to finish.

I was THRILLED!!

Having lived in 5 continents and used my own corporate tech folks in places where I was a senior executive, or, having bought from computer stores worldwide, I cannot tell the reader how IMPRESSED and THANKFUL I was to Mike, Glenn and the entire team at Ormsby. They are skilled and breed confidence and yet are so humble and fun to talk to.

We are so lucky to have such a firm and team here in Central Vermont. THEY ARE THE BEST!!

Incredibly they are the closest authorized Lenovo repair store to Burlington, I don't know why, but other then being a ways away, they are great to work with and know what they are doing. Joe was even willing to meet me in Burlington to save me from driving out there to drop off my laptop that needed repair. Great...
