I love going to goodwill in general but this has to be the worst one Ive ever been to.
To start off, everything is insanely disorganized. I just wanted a couple of shirts and shorts for the summer. I had such a horrible time finding absolutely anything. The sizes were all mixed ESPECIALLY in kids. Nothing is in the right place.
My biggest issue though is quality. They are supposed to check items before putting them in the store. They absolutely don't here. All the toys were missing important pieces or broken. The stuffed animals were dirty and gross.
Clothes were even worse. There were clothes that were just torn or cut up. I thought I looked at the clothes I chose thoroughly enough. And my mistake, I was very very wrong.
I got home with the few items I did find thinking I had some nice stuff to wash and wear. No tears, all looked fine enough. Until I went to put them in the washer and noticed something on one of the items. A giant spot of dried discharge. Not underwear, just shorts. There is no way that this should have made it through any inspection.
I am completely disgusted and sad that the goodwill closest to me gave me the worst experience. I will definitely be going to a different one for now on.
And sure, goodwill will respond saying that they care about only selling good quality items, and care about our opinions, will send it to management, ect. But you all know they wont and this clearly is a reoccurring issue from...
Read moreI purchased a chair here on 02/21. It did not fit my car and I spoke to three different employees who said it would be fine if I came back in a week with a friend with a bigger car. I went back today, one week later, and they sold it to someone else. They sold a chair twice and profited off of a donated item. This alone is frustrating.
Worse, though, is how the cashier Kay treated me when I spoke to her about this issue. She snatched the receipt from my hand, told me I would get store credit since I don’t know the names of who I spoke to, and they don’t do refunds.
I explained I understand the return policy, but this isn’t a return. I paid for it, it was sold to someone else. I did not pay with store credit. Kay made it extremely obvious in her condescending voice, hateful attitude, and unprofessional and childish demeanor that the money must be coming directly from her pocket. She also used another employee’s login (Thomas B, don’t share your login man!) to do the transaction, which also seems dishonest and probably against company policy.
All of this was over $10. It was not a big ticket item. It’s despicable and dishonest to take someone’s money for something, and then sell it to someone else. I thought goodwill as a whole was better than that. I am scared to shop here again because I don’t want to be scammed out of my money, especially because times are hard. Hence why I’m shopping...
Read moreIt had a decent selection but was very limited and not stocked properly. Items were noticeably out of place and carts everywhere. Not a fan of the staffing because the cashiers were oddly rude and people from the back were not in the back doing their correct job. Often the work lands on one person and that’s not the teamwork you’d expect from a job such as Goodwill. Very thankful I did not choose to work here and instead will be scooping ice cream 🥳 At least it’s an happy environment and will smell good (unlike this place, miserable and odd smelling) Respectfully, please take better care of this establishment if anyone works there sees this, thank you. I will not be coming back because i’d rather not pay for overly-priced items that are supposed to be cheaper than their usual price, especially since they are used, not more. Most of all, please add a better selection of dolls/figurines and make them look presentable please, ain’t no way y’all ruined my favorite section of the thrift store. Heartbreaking and absolute horror. No. Just no. Bad Goodwill, bad. Never go here, I am...
