Nashville Crystal Store — Local services in Berry Hill

I have never written a review for anything before in my life, but i guess there’s a first to everything. If i could give my shopping experience a -3 i would. I am 19 years old and went with two of my friends who love crystal collecting. We began to browse and the blonde lady working at the time followed us around the store while lurking over our shoulders silently the entire time. She never introduced herself, but instead stared at us if we EVER picked anything up. She would then comment on the things that we picked up, and quietly harassed us all the way through the store. We were merely browsing and ended up buying a few small pieces. Right after we exited the store the employee followed us out to our car, and blatantly took a photo of the license plate number! She then pointed at our car in front of both of the cameras outside of the store. I tried confronting her about taking the photo and she claimed that she was merely “checking the cameras”. I was sold two “VERY” rare Ethiopian raw opals. I've been to gem shows for decades. These are not rare; they are standard raw opal fragments from Ethiopia. The conversation continued the energy went south, I was feeling pressured, phone calls about price changes, a different powerful stone was place in my hand, tears are shed as I'm being told this powerful little stone is worth $1600.00 I rolled with the experience, dropping a few questions about some of my favorites. No knowledge of them was returned. Cut to the end of this hustle. Two tiny raw opal fragments, one the size of an almond, two the size of an eraser on a pencil, and an unidentified “ super rare”. Let me make a phone call to get the palm-sized stone's price. It was a cool piece, but $1600.00 total = shy of 2k 🤦🤬 It felt like a Bali tourist trap. I bought the two small raw opals $270.50 that's one hell of a mark up I bought them to see if I would indeed be gauged. I was! I've purchased those same size and quality for $100.00, even less...

I came into this store today for the first time. I felt defeated, alone and very sad due to a recent job loss. I don’t know much about crystals so I asked the store owner, Amanda for some help. She spoke with me for a while and I was so impressed with her ability to see what was going on with me. She recommended a few crystals and a book. She took time to mark many pages in the book that would help me. She also told me about a meditation that was happening upstairs the same afternoon. I decided to attend and I am so happy that I did. The healer that works there made time for me same day and was so kind and helpful. I would absolutely recommend the store to anyone looking for help...
